I have a question about the general coding language used for mods to EU, EU /rome, HOI, etc. I am just getting started out trying to get into software development and would like to know which coding language is used in the moddable files because I have gained a lot of experience with it it and would like to be able to list it on my resume.

It's been said that it's derived from Lua, but I've never seen a primary source for this and, in my opinion, to call it Lua would be tantamount to lying :p

Never heard anyone said that and as far as I am ware it is not derived from lua at all, it has superficial visual similarities to JSON but works nothing like it and was in fact made before JSON :D
