How do I get rid of the nationalism revolt risk? I conquered some provinces in the Grand Campaign, and only certain ones rebel. When I defeat the rebels, and then check out the revolt risk, I see a message that reads "+2 nationalism, this is the minimum risk".

The nationalism risk is actually at +3% to start with. Also, unlike other revolt modifiers, the overall revolt risk in the province is always at least the nationalism risk regardless of any other factors. Fortunately, the nationalsim risk decreases to +2% after 10 years, +1% after 20, and vanishes after 30.

So the answer to the question is put a bunch of troops on top of the province and wait.

When you get a revolt, while the battle is going on, build more troops. You'll win the battle and your army will replenish itself, and you won't have to mess with the province until the next revolt.

While on the topic of nationalism...

Are the "Dutch nationalist" nations even worth bothering with? During a GC as France, I owned one Dutch nationalist province that I took from Spain. The rebellions that took place in this province were unreal. The amount of resources that it took to put down the rebels prevented me from pursuing other matters.

I suppose that in the end it's worth the trouble, but wow what a pain.

So anyway, what happens if you let them take over? Do the rebels run amok everywhere, or would they be happy with just the province that they are fighting for?
