Stupid title, but i could not think of a better one...

Ok, my question:
In the game, do you start as a brigade commander and than advance in rank? If yes, do you have to do this or can't you be successfull without command the entire army in the later game? Or can you successfully play the game at brigade level?
I ask this because i tried the demo and had real fun with a single brigade but much less with the division. (maybe the Burnside in me ;) )
It's not an gameplay issue, just a feeling-thing. It felt really cool to command my 4 regs but not be able to command any of my allies. Will the brigade at my right flank come to my aid or not... i really like this feeling.

Miggel,

In the historical scenarios your level of command varies. You will command anything from a brigade up to the entire army. In open play you can command at any level you desire, so you can always play as a brigade commander if that is what you prefer.

You do not get promoted. All games a single scenario's, some scenario's carry over to the next day, but you stay the same rank. The game can be played several different ways, either you stick with what is most comfortable and fun to you, or you attempt higher levels of command when ready.
