i have only 56k modem...should i be able to play on acceptable rate?as far as i heard it`s okay as it depends on host speed...

if it is possible,i would like to play a game...as i cant be a host,someone with good connection is needed...im in europe(croatia),on vacations so in a next few days i can play virtually any time...played hoi for around a month...play v1.05b with core 0.532

(if anybody answer:)) no experts,please...

i like to play japan...
 
great!...just say when...and it would be nice if we can get some more people...

do you play with some special rules...i saw people here make their houserules...and what version do you have
 
HI guys, I work at home usualyy, so I can get in for a game. The simple thing is to let me know how often you want to play, and I can work around that. :)

As for your problem Heidrich, I hav eno idea, patching to 1.05b is good, tha tmight help, but I'm not sure.

download the zip file from the sticky on the main page and unzip its contents into the main hoi directory - the files should copy onto each other. Also get the panzer file that has the corrected mistake..

i think its you firewall - maybe test it by swithcing all your software off for a sec and try to get into the hoi channel..?

Heidrich, Fiendix could be right about that, firewalls cause so much headaches, that and routers.
 
i just tried to connect to valkiryenet,it works fine for me...

i have core 0.532...

anyway,i hope you`ll solve your problem,i really think you should update to 1.05b...so you post about 11 :00 tomorrow..?

jgbaxter,i read about marathon you and your canada guys are going to organize...i never played multiplayer,but would like to...i have no idea whats labour day since i m from croatia,but i have really plenty of time this weekend...

SHOUD i be able to play since i only have modem??
 
If you're interested, I might have 3 european players ready to start a game this week(end). We play plain 1.05b without CORE though.
 
hmm...i do not know about ip adress...can you ask somebody around you,IRL i mean?

vissarion, i would be glad to play...i installed core on purpose to get the AI behave better,for instance as japan aftre conquering china there is not much fun because US does nothing...well i didnt get that:))) but tech tree and load of events are fun...but i guess in multiplayer my opponents will be better than AI:)) so choice is obvious

I would love to play.I got 1.05b and cable.
