True. My answer was based on you comparing a new player (presumably a new mech too) to an experienced mech pilot in a customized mech. In that, the experienced pilot/tweaked mech has a serious advantage. In a lot of matches I played/watched, that often led to new pilots quitting the game early, in frustration, because of the "seemingly huge disparity". If some of us could get them to listen/take a second look, they would see .. in time .. that once they began to tweak their mech (and play a mech that their play-style fit best), they would get more hits, crits, and rewards. My first few matches were fun, but I got annihilated, in all honesty. I learned, though. ;-)
As for pugs not playing with teamwork, <lol>, yeah, that's a significant issue in every game .. where many players want to be "the shit", all by themselves, and wind up getting cored, all alone, because they played stupidly ... and the team paid in the price, in the match. I don't think I've played a single game (that has pvp) where that wasn't a factor. <heheh>
