Hey Everyone,

I am doing a sandbox game where i am playing as Netherland and after getting the infrastructure up in the main country and my colonies i boosted social spending/taxes to levels that i am growing (population wise) quite fast and have a nice financial balance. I spent a few years building relations with the NATO countries after which i decided to 'liberate' indonesia again.

The declaration went quite well with almost all my allies joining in (not declaring war on indonesia it self but assisting me in the conquored tiles. My armies used merchant marine to land on the portugese city in indonesia still and captured the other half of the island which was indonesian, then everything just stopped.... there is a rough 150-250 units on that island from all nations but my armies (and allies) just will not attack the rest of indonesia while i do have about 20 LC-Utility and 10 LC-Medium ships available for use. Does anyone know what i might be missing?

Cheers,
Tar

Your allies wont be able to get to the other island w/o a friendly seaport using the Merchant Marines. They wont make an amphibious assault unless they are actually at war with Indonesia. They are fighting by rules of proxy war.

If you were to take a seapier or seaport your allies will then land there using the Merchant Marine.

i do have about 20 LC-Utility and 10 LC-Medium ships available for use.

IIRC, those ships are pretty small in cargo space. Depending on what type of units you have in Indonesia, you may not have anything that will fit onto those ships to make an amphibious assault.

Mehhh... how do i see howmuch space there is on a LC? The truck on the ship page and if so does the number then refer to the maximum weight of a unit it can carry? (damn digital download versions and lack of a printed manual haha).

Click on the unit, hover your mouse over it. Cargo is the amount it will hold. Do the same thing to a non transport unit and its weight is at the bottom.

If your in the build menu or research menu, the cargo weight is represented by the truck icon...IE 500 = 500t , In the Technical Readout its says cargo capacity.

Oh yeah, there should be a PDF manual on your download. I got my thru GG and it had one, not sure if the steam version has one though.

Hmmm well i built a few LSD-Elephants with 2,150 cargo capacity but still... my armies aren't moving away from Kupang :( I assumed the AI would also perform amphibious assaults?

It does but if your waiting on your Ministers to do it, it could take awhile. It would also want other types of ships in the operation, IIRC the transport wont enter into a hex you dont control, so you would need a combat ship to take control the sea hexes near the area you wanted to land. You would be better off taking control of the operation and securing a seaport then letting the minister take over from there.

Use your ROE setting to lock the minister out of control for the units you want to control. That way you can control just what you want to control and let the AI control the rest. When your done using then, unlock those settings and the AI will use them.

I dont think anyone has made an updated ROE Guide for SRCW but the controls pretty much work the same as they did in SR2020. The buttons look different, probally some icons changes but its I thinks its mostly the same. If your not famliar with the ROE it might be helpful.
