The default way to make a mod is overwriting a whole file, which can be done by placing a file with the exact same name in the exact same folder structure. But how can I make a mod compatible with others, that change the same file?

I know that I can create a replace folder inside the folder structure. If I write only the variables I want changed in a custom named file inside that replace folder, it will be compatible with other mods, that do the same.

1. How does Stellaris decide the order in that the mods load

2. What happens when I don't put the custom named file in a replace folder?

3. Is there a way to make *.gui file compatible?
