Can someone please answer the following questions, thanks :)

1) what is Offset? (used in event files)

e.g. offset = 30

2) what is dormant? (used in leader files)

e.g. dormant = no

3) someone said style had to do with the interface of the event popup window. is this correct? so what happens if I ignore this command? will it just use a default style for the time period?

style = 1 means what?

style = 2 means what?

etc.

I appreciate any answers. thanks

Hm... sure would be good to get that event manual ready soon...

This is an offset in days, always used in conjunction with the date statement. It means that the event may happen on any of these days from the time specified in date. In case of the example: on any day withinn 30 days from the startdate.

2) what is dormant? (used in leader files)

e.g. dormant = no

It's used to activate/deactivate leaders. Leaders with dormant = yes is inactive, but can be activated through events with the activateleader command. Similar any leader can be deactivated with the sleepleader command. The same goes for monarchs.

style 1 = 15th century
style 2 = 16th century
etc
style 5 = 19th century

It's been ready for quite a while actually. Don't think it comes with the release version though.

There is an Event_Manual Txt. file in the DB which when printed out runs 12 pages.

It`s implementation however remains a mystery to me ( and perhaps others ) since it seems predicated on prior EU file creation experience, which is a shame since it clearly is the most valuable tool provided for Player created enhancements in any recent Strategy game.:confused:
