I bought HoI as soon as it was released in France, (2 years ago ?), I played it in version 1.00. and it's a long time since I stopped playing it.
And I see on this forum that there's a 1.06 patch.

Could you tell me guys, what are the big evolutions, I mean the real big ones that really influence the game and the way you play ?

Can I directly install the 1.06 patch on a 1.00 version ?
 
Yup no problem, infact that is the best way to do it.
 
Your welcome, but you would have to be a Mod to understand what the title means. ;)

Hmm, actually I'm a Mod, a "super" Mod, and I post messages, pretending I'm a regular forum member, to see how the "lower" Mods are doing their job.....

Hmm, seriously...Keeper of the temple records..... Does this mean you're in charge of Paradox games records room ? ;)

What do I win if I guess ? :D

This may be a dumb question. I'm the "new guy" obviously because of the number of posts. I've downloaded v.1.05, but I can't remember how I did it. Now I'd like to download 1.06. I can't find the download link, and I can't find the right thread that might tell me how to download it. Also, can I download it on top of 1.05, or should I completely reinstall the game on my computer, and start from scratch?
 
As I wrote before, I play 1.05 french version.
What will happen if I install 1.06 english?
Is the french patch going to be delivered soon?
And what if i install 1.06 eng, and then 1.06 french?
 
There is no french 1.06 patch. But you can install 1.06 on top of a french version. the only thing that will do is change your game's language.
Fortunately, some french forumites have translated 1.06's text.csv. Go to the French HoI forum for more information.
 
I'll have to check, but as i told you, you should get the french 1.06 text.csv translated by the french members. It enables you to play in 1.06 without any texts in english.

edit: latest news is there's no french patch due. So you have to go through the french forum to get it in french.

How dissapointed I feel!!
I used to be a "spanish man in France" when I first saw the game and jumped on it... If I had waited a little bit, now I would have my official spanish patch ready to rumble...
:(
 
Can't you just get the Spanish text file?
