Greetings and well met.

I'm currently in training for MP play and am experimenting with the slider settings for certain countries (as well as familiarizing myself with the events). If at all possible, I would like to throw some ideas out into the open and get some advice.

Here's what I understand about MP EU2 so far: If you intend to compete in open combat against human player nations you need to be full quantity and full decentralized. Manpower and war exhaustion are two dominant factors in world wars. With that in mind I have a few questions...

Sweden -- Could a full free subjects (serfdom 0), partially naval (land 2-3), partial plutocratic (aristocracy 5~) compete or would I likely get crushed by an aggressive russian neighbor?

My rationale here is that sweden needs to build a strong economy. Restricting the bulk of my early expansion to state religion/culture provinces and building production/trade values should help offset higher than average stability costs. Is this workable or is my logic flawed? I intend to test this briefly in SP.

England -- What DP settings should england use? I know that they start off naval and plutocratic, which seems to hamstring them severely in warfare. Although capable of projecting power I'm somewhat sceptical of England having power to project. Any advice here is welcome... centralized or decentralized, free subjects or serfdom?

Poland -- I repeated hear about how difficult Poland is to play in MP. Looking at their events and starting position I can imagine why. :) I assume that a wise poland-player will want to be full land and full aristocracy... but what about serfdom and centralization? By my calculations Poland will suffer a massive 25% production penalty if he goes Aristocracy 10/Serfdom 10/Centralization 0 and he still has to account for his inferior tech group already (Orthodox). Even by totally forgoing naval research and concentrating on land (and infra/trade) can Poland maintain a parity with the rest of Europe?

My second question -- bearing the above in mind, should I try to fight the Sejm? If I follow a historical path for Poland my DP sliders will gradually become more decentralized, aristocratic, enserfed and quantity-focused. On the other hand, my nation will also become steadily more impoverished and debt-ridden.

I think before I try playing Poland in MP I would very much like having a solid domestic policy strategy in place. Is there anyone present who has played a successful Poland?

Thanks for your attention and cheers. :)
