I love the mods and assets, but have a few questions.
1. Are assets like stores or houses added automatically? Or are they just props and don't really spawn when you use the Green, Blue, and Orange markers? And will they slow down my game, and launch time a lot? I found loads I enjoy but would rather do without since the games launching so slowly now, and takes about 5 minutes to open a new map if they are only props.

2. Are the recommended requires correct on the steam store? It says it recommends Intel Core i5-3470, 3.20GHz and a GTX 660, I have Intel Core i5 3570K @ 3.40GHz and a GTX 970, can play Tomb Raider and other newer games on max, but I barely get 35 fps with everything on lowest/off in Cities Skylines when I launch a fresh map, even before I got mods. And just wondering if that's just my problem.

3. Any known mods that REALLY tax your fps, I hate studdering, I can live with 40 fps or so, but when it drops to about 15-20 it, just sucks. And would like to steer clear of mods like that.

4. If I'm subbed to a mod or asset in the steam workshop, even with the mod turned off, will it still slow down my pc?

5. Will maps slow down my game?

I have about 15 workshop maps, 410 assets, and about 40 mods(counting the ones the game comes with)
Sorry if this is just kinda every where. I love the game, but the mods give really beautiful looking buildings, roads, and etc, with great controls. And am having trouble playing, with or without them it super slow.

  1. Assets, unless it says it is a unique building then they will grow by them self.
  2. The requirements are perfectly fine, this game is very heavy on any GPU, why do you need more than 35 FPS.
  3. Heavy mods should be Traffic++ V2 and Traffic Manger because they change the behaviour of the AI. If you would like to use more assets consider to upgrade your RAM.
  4. If the mods are disabled they should not be slowing down your game.
  5. Depends, I haven't experienced, something like that. Maybe custom trees or anything like that could slow it down but I can't confirm that.

I was just worried about my fps because on a fresh map, with everything on lowests, I only get about 35. So I'm worried how it'll do when I actually get a big city going. But alright, thanks for the info guys!
