Quick questions about the Byzantine Empire and Pagans

Hi All

Compared to Vanilla, does the Byzantine empire collapse more often and are Pagans stronger/weaker than vanilla? If that's too complicated to answer, do they tend to more successful in the same start dates as vanilla or not?

I havent seen the byzantine empire fall apart yet in any of my games, it just mostly lost a war of two and then recovered from it.

Depends, did the ruler go below 100 holdings or did the emperor become anything other than orthodox or an orthodox heresy ?

I regularly see the empire vanish after loosing a civil war only to reappear as a 3 province minor in a few years. Don't know why this happens but it is better than vinilla where it will live through literally everything.
