Hello,

I have my game files on a external drive but all the region packs/mods are saved on my computers local drive.

I have very limited space so want everything on the external drive. How do I get the region packs to save to the external drive with the rest of the game files?

Why does my city generate residential demand when I have unoccupied buildings? I have basically been having this demand forever and I don't get it. Should it not be the other way round?

You have residential demand because you don't have any unoccupied buildings and Sims are waiting.
The only unoccupied buildings you have are businesses.
Even if some are unoccupied, you'll still have some, but they'll fill up faster.

You are reading it backwards, sort of.

They are actually saying the factor unoccupied buildings is low so the demand to build new residential is raised to supply more.

While in the commercial there are too many unoccupied buildings so the demand is reduced.

Hello fellow Cities: Skylines II players,
I’d like to ask if it’s normal for the game to get stuck on the “two and a half circles” loading screen for quite a long time (about 4 to 5 minutes) every time it starts?
Also, after entering the main menu, the bottom-right corner always performs a resource verification. Is there any way to skip this check and go directly into the game?

Thanks in advance to anyone who knows the answer and is willing to share it!

Does anyone know if Paradox removed industry and commercial traffic as part of easy mode? Virtually none of my buildings have any of their vehicles in use but somehow stuff is still getting where it needs to go and my city is still profiting.

No. Its not related to game mode. The more I learn about this game the harder it becomes for me to explain why something is behaving in a particular way.

I'm building a region with several smaller settlements and I was wondering if having only partially allocated service would work? I have small police stations/hospitals/mail/etc assigned to the districts they are in, and use the police headquarters/hospitals/etc as a sort of mapwide supporting service. Assigning to local districts so far works quite well, but would things get messy if I have some open to the whole map?

What are your experiences? Any tips?

What can I do to level up extraction industries? Oil grows fine, but stone, coal, ore and grain just will not grow, even though there's a significant deficit of them.
Iirc it used to not be a big issue in the past, but on the current version they stagnate badly, even at 130%+ efficiency.
