Prologue
Cossack.jpg

For as long as anyone can remember the Cossacks have served the Czar of Russia loyally. They fought in his wars, kept the Turks at bay and for there strength they were rewarded with land and Autonomy. But alas the world turns and after a World War and revolution the Czar and his family lie dead, a testament to the wild nature of these lands.

Now in this year 1936 of our lord, Russia is divided. The whites eventually won their war but at the cost of Russia's Integrity as a nation. The Government of Kerensky has no real power outside of Moscow. Entire regions of the empire simply broke free. The Cossacks of course followed suit, after all! their loyalty was to the Czar not Russia.

In 1923 a Great Rada was called with all the All-mighty Don Host and the Kuban Host leading the assembly. It was proclaimed that the Cossacks should decide their own fate. Under the leadership of Hetman Petr Krasnov, the Cossack nation has arisen ready to find its place in a turbulent new world.

yay!
cossack AAR:cool:
and marvelous pics you have there.

Excellent and great choice! The Don Cossacks have a lot of opportunity to really do something in the game and their AARs are virtually non-existent. I’ll be keeping a strong eye on this one.

Next update shall be uploaded when i get off today. Also any idea how to change the nation name from Don-Kuban Union to the name Cossackia.

Just go into config/world_names. Then search for Don-Kuban Union and change it into Cossackia.

Nice pics. :)

Only 8 starting IC? So I assume this isn't Kaiserreich, but ATRUS?

Ive seen people work with far less resources, and yes its ATRUS. I compared it and Kiaserreich and i think The AI in ATRUS will be more of a challenge.

The First order of Business was to get the the meager resources of the Cossacks redirected to manageable goals. Southern Russia was probably the least developed region of the country besides Siberia, and what few factory's existed were devoted to supplying the Cossack hosts with arms and equipment.

Petr Krasnov was a former general of the Russian Army but had a history of fighting with Cossack troops. When he was forced south at the outbreak of revolution the people of the Don Host saw him as a natural choice given his reputation among Russian military circles. So it was that he was elected Ataman of the host and adopted the Cossack way of life.

It was his belief that the old system of Russia had failed and that the Cossacks could do far better. He took a more hawkish approach to dealing with Cossackia's enemy's.

At current the nation has only been able to maintain two battle ready Hosts, this will have to change soon.

The cossacks were surrounded by many ancient enemies. To the South were the Menshevik Georgians led by Leverenti Beria. The Polish and the Germans lay westward and the ever watchful Russian Republic. Finally to the east lie the Kazahks who claim lands still inhabited by Cossack garrisons and their forts.

With these threats in mind efforts would be made to make the Cossacks ready and equiped to fight these powerful foes.
