Rail line removed icon remains

Created train track line and designated line. Later deleted. Line icon still remains at where track was there doesn't seem to be any way to remove this icon. All solutions I've seen relate to the pc version.
The patch hasn't fixed this apparent bug.

Train lines are very difficult to select. Make sure you deleted the entire line and not just part of it. Leaving the first stop of a line will show the icon until that line is completed or deleted.

Are there any other lines to the station which may be blocking the stop for this line you want to delete?

I've made sure to delete all lines and stations also double checked that there is no remnants.
At this point I'm baffled as to why icon remains and the only option is to start over?
Must be some sort of bug?

Post a screenshot? Make sure it is a bug more than just user error (which is easy on this game in places due to the complexity to select/delete/alter individual lines).

Looks like a bug, yes.

The only way it wouldn't be is if there's an incomplete train line underground but even then it would need a station and with no metro in sight, and no station in sight, I guess this is another one Paradox need to add to the ever growing list of bugs.

I have now created a new bug report on this situation, and added your problem description and screenshot for the developers.

I can't promise a quick fix, but it's at least in the system now and hopefully will be fixed in a future update!
