railroads in colonies

its quite a simple bug but u can build Railroads in colonies bevore grantig them statehood.
I found this bug in the 1836sce while playing USA.

I dunno if its just buggy for US or for all colonies. i did not try so far.

I've never had that problem, and I also have Version 1.03. It may be just your copy of the game that's having trouble.

Everyone can build railroads, though the AI usually doesn't. But yet, it's stated that you're not able to do that until you grant them statehood so it does seem to be a bug.

I could build RR too in colonies but are you sure it is intended to be impossible? I thought it was only about being unable to build factories.

Instruction booklet says you're not supposed to be able to build railroads except in states. They probably decided to change that though since India had railroads and lets face it, there's practically no way to turn India into a state.

Well don't trust the booklet, trust Memnon's "manual and strategy guide". There is quite a few things that isn't included in the game but is stated to be in the game in the original manual booklet. I my self have packed down the original manual in the case again.

SO its just a minor glich
But it would be nice if the popup text would be corrected (the one over grad staatehood)
