Random crashing

I'm having a problem where the game will randomly freeze while I'm playing. The music continues to the end of the track and then that stops. The CD will not eject, and ctrl+alt+del won't work, and I am forced to restart. Most of the time, the computer will get to the Windows screen with the background and then it will either sound like it is reading the floppy drive which will light up and then just shut down, or the blue screen of death will come up in the midst of the start up noise and I will have to restart the computer. When I finally do get the computer back up, it will hardly run the game at all. It might last for a few minutes before it does the same thing again. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks all.

Oh yea, also, it hardly ever runs scan disk after the game crashes and even when windows doesnt start up.

If windows doesnt sometimes start up then it appears that the problem is with your computer and not the game.

If you have a Recovery CD with your machine then use that. Otherwise I would suggest that it is time for a reformat and reinstall! (I do mine as a matter of course about every 3 months.)

If you havent done it before then get a friend to show you how - the first time can be pretty traumatic!
