So I started my game up today and found that almost all of my vassals, as well as my own character, had completely random Hellenic traits (like "Retired Vestalis" or "Cult of ____"). My empire is not Hellenic, it has never been Hellenic, THERE IS NO REASON I SHOULD HAVE THIS!

I can only assume that there is a glitch at work (I'm playing with CK+), but I've no idea what kind of glitch would rewrite files to assign everybody random traits. And, again, all of them are Hellenic.

I'm going to see if I don't have any earlier save without that problem...

This is obviously caused by the mod, so ask in the appropriate thread in the mods subforum.

The latest version is not compatible with older saves. This is almost certainly your problem

Yep. This is why we put "NOT SAVE COMPATIBLE" on the post when we put up the new version.

Though, to be fair, for people who use Steam it will auto-update and you'd have no idea you've moved onto a new (and incompatible) version of the mod.

Okay, so where is the second-most recent version available to download? I looked in Media Fire's CK2Plus Archive (I assume I was using the most recent 3.07 version, rather than 3.08), but it's just shoving a paywall in my face.

I tested it and all it did was give me back some of my Tyranny and change one Hellenic cult to another. So that was two centuries of play down the drain. I'm just updating the thing and going to purge that playthrough from my mind (only one I particularly wanted to convert).

Just be warned: the next update, considering it will update for the Horse Lords DLC, will almost certainly not be save-compatible.

That's a no brainer. I'm burned out on CK2 anyways, Ill probably do Vicky for now.

Well, keep in mind that the chances of us getting a compatch out for the Horse Lords DLC very quickly isn't likely to happen -- I'll be doing most of the work myself, and there's only so much I can do (and the 2.4 patch looks like it'll be huge). So as of next week you're very likely to be without CK2Plus for a while unless you back-patch to 2.3.6 anyhow.

For the original problem of CK2+ auto-updating, I always copy the mod into another folder and play off that. When I'm ready for a new game, I copy it again.
