First, this has been one of the best and most stable Paradox games at launch, they all get there through patches, but this one started off very playable, thanks!

I've searched the manual and the forms and I may be missing something, but I can't seem to find this piece of information. I accidentally hit 'disable' instead of 'dismiss for now' and can't seem to get it back. I've tried resetting notifications and have restarted the game several times, but no luck so far. Does anyone know how to re-enable disabled alerts?

i have the same problem, seems the only way to do it is a full reinstall of the game the only way i could reset these Alerts. still hope there is a easyer way to re-enable them.

Well, this can only be in either settings.txt or the save game file. Does the disabling persist if you start a fresh game?

It was the last line in the settings.txt file, just removed the disabled_alerts={...} and that fixed it. Would be nice to be able to do this in game, but it was easy enough. Thanks for pointing me to the right file AndrewT.

How do I re-enable top-screen notifications?

So I accidentally right-clicked one of my notifications that appears on the top of the screen. It was a notification regarding me having de jure claims on some counties... Anyway, I accidentally hit "cancel" on that and it seems to have disabled that type of notification WHENEVER I PLAY... Now I never receive notifications about having de jure claims on anything... Is there any way to re-enable a certain type of top-of-the-screen notifications if you've "canceled" them?

I can't find the settings.txt folder. Where is it exactly? I have Windows 7.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it in my Documents folder... Expected it to be in the game's Steam folder.

Just FYI, you could have found this info in the sticky "file locations' thread above.
