Yes, that's the point of the mod! You need less workplaces, so if you implement it into a functioning city, you will have too many workplacesThis mod makes a lot of unoccupied workplaces in my city.
I thought about adding this, but I will be waiting for the economy update at least, to see, how the mod will develop.Hi thank you for the mod. any detailed info on just how much of an increase for office buildings? I installed the mod and still see Level 5 high density office only employing 300 workers. Would it be possible to have a way to configure the multiplier via a file config?
I do not have an update ready for Economy 2.0. Right now, I expect the mod to break as soon as the update gets release so I marked it as compatible with the current version, but not the upcoming next one.Thank you for this mod. It’s the only simulation mod I run as it addresses the most important issue in the game for me.
Do you have an update ready that will address any economy 2.0 patch issues? Also, looking forward to realistic density in residential towers.
I think there will still be plenty of need for Realistic Density mod. In the Economy 2.0 you tube video from City Planner Plays, he states his disappointment that office towers will still have unrealistically low levels of workers. With residential towers already having the same problem, it would be nice if you could roll the residential towers in with any update.I do not have an update ready for Economy 2.0. I will have to see what the new update changes internally when it comes out and re-evaulate:
- if Realistic Density will even be necessary
- Which values will have to be adressed and in what way
- Other improvements I might make, or customization options
I unfortunately have to say that I don't expect Realistic Density to be usable after the update for *at least 2 weeks*.
Please keep in mind that existing buildings will keep their changed values, so after disabling the mod only newly built buildings will use vanilla behavior.
Please refer to my message above, updating the mod may take a while, if possible at allPlease update mod![]()
This mod is very important to my playthrough too but take all the time you need, life comes first
Since sadly industry and office occupation is still quite deficient with Economy 2.0, I hope this mod gets an update! I don't think I can play the game at the fullest without it![]()
I really enjoy this mod and I´d like to thank you for putting in the effort of creating and maintaining it. I really hope you'll be able to port it to the new economy 2.0 patch, if only to fix the office and residential towers.
In the pre-economy 2.0 version I have office towers with 1500 employees and it would be a shame if all those people suddenly lost their job...although, maybe I could spin that as 'suddenly generative AI took over and every programmer lost their job' ...
Anyway, your work is very much appreciated!

For example: The Fire House has 8 employees, wages are $12,600 a month. With Realistic Density it should have 24 employees, the wages will be $37,800 a month. If you account that for all service buildings, the service building upkeep will be so much higher, that it is very hard to keep earning money.
I'm still checking the effects on industry. I am open for input about what factors the increase in offices of each density, and industry should have
Why not for the short term ignore service buildings? TBH I was mostly using your mod for the realistic office and industrial zone capacities.
