As the kingdom of the Iron Islands (emperor tier title), I conquered two islands of the Summer Isles through claim fabrication. Fast-forward a generation and the Summer King wants them back. I beat him down, but then get the "deal with the traitors" event. Apparently he's my vassal, despite not actually being so. I revoke the Summer Isles from him and I am now magically the queen of the Summer Isles.
Is this is a known bug of any kind?
Edit: I should clarify that prior to this point he was independent. But this bug was manifesting itself earlier. Sometimes I would get events saying "a bannerman of ours is engaged in a conflict." It would then say I'd be called into his wars, but I never actually called in. My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that I am emperor tier and he is king tier, and that I hold two counties in his de jure territory. Maybe some of the events need some extra scope limiting?
