@Aliasing: Japan did a lot of things in IDoF.

As for AOD, I do not know, I thought I heard that a version was being developed for that game, but I think the MDS team was having some issues with it or something.
@Sectorknight21: The Russian annexation events are in the original mod. They are designed to fire in the event of a victorious Novorossiya in the Ukrainian civil war. The event that annexed Kazakhstan into Russia was added by me, it was just a copy of the ukrainian event.
@Asalto: I added the Kazakhstan annexation event myself, largely due to asthetic reasons. Seriously, Russia with the Ukraine and Belarus added to it but without Central Asia looks like some weird country that has had its guts torn out of it. Adding the Kazakhs gives Russia more of a "bulky" look that I like. Besides, if the Ukrainians could join Russia, why not let the Kazakhs to the same?
@Hax: Indochina will not come for a while, largely because Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia are not really worth the effort to take right now. Only Vietnam has a decent amount of IC, but they actually have a very powerful army, which is hard to encircle without also attacking Laos and Cambodia at the same time. Indochina will fall when the time comes.
@History_Buff: Indonesia was already next on my hit list. It has tons of resources and lots of IC, far more than in Indochina or even Malaysia/Singapore. Japan must have all of it.
@hoi2geek: Sorry, but the Filipino's are in no position to demand anything like greater rights or autonomy. They will do whatever Tokyo demands of them, and most likely will also have to start learning Japanese. Like I said earlier, the country will now become a military outpost and colony of the New Empire of Japan.
@everyone else: thanks for the comments!
Japan's military expansion continues to intensify. After the successful operations in the Philippines, Japanese industries are tasked with beginning production on brigades of new main battle tanks and mechanized infantry. These units will become some of the most powerful armoured fighting corps in the Japanese Army.
Meanwhile, Japanese scientists begin work on the ultimate weapon. Japan lost the 2nd world war because the Americans had atomic bombs and Japan did not. That is something that "The Generals" do not want to repeat. Now, Japan will begin work on possessing its own nuclear weapons deterrent, the ultimate guarantor to Japanese security.
Meanwhile, the Iranians elect conservative politician Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as their new President.
Canada begins rearmament, beginning to invest large quantities of funds into the cash-strapped Canadian armed forces.

Japanese naval research by the summer months of 2005. Huge funds are being slated into technological projects for the Japanese navy, including Nuclear Aircraft Carriers, new Destroyers, Guided Missile Cruisers, and importantly into Marine infantry. Japan is a maritime nation, with a growing maritime empire, making the navy the top priority for Japanese military planners and strategists.
Japan begins establishing major airbases in the southern Philippine island of Mindanao. These are the first steps to the construction of even more bases on the island.
Back in Japan, new brigades of Special Forces Commandos complete training and are ready for action.
August, 2005. Russia and China conduct a series of massive military drills near Vladivostok and the Shangdong peninsula, involving thousands of soldiers and very large numbers of warships and aircraft, which practice things such as amphibious assaults and naval tactics. Japanese leaders believe that the drills may be a message directed at them, that China and Russia are more than ready for a fight if they come to blows with Japan. The drills help strengthen the resolve of Japan's leaders to strengthen the country and the military so that when that time comes, Japan will be more than ready.
