Reborn From Ashes – Turkey Empire

Hello all and welcome to my first attempt at an HOI AAR. I know HOI3 is a relatively old game but I could never find time to play in the past and now I can tell you that I regret not playing it before. I started my HOI3 journey a month ago and already got two crushing defeats with Turkey. After learning the basics in my first two attempts, now I am ready to change the history of the WW2 with my master plan. Because of that I can guarantee you that this AAR will completely be ahistorical.

I am Turkish and having said that, English is not my native language; so there will probably be many mistakes on my narration. Please keep this in mind if you would like to follow my AAR.

This AAR will mostly be depending on the gameplay screenshots with some narrations and I will try to make it as detailed as I can. However, please do not expect a comprehensive storytelling for this AAR. I know there are hundreds of good AAR’s around with good storytelling, well-prepared screenshots and historical photos, but I would like to focus on the progression of the war and share whether my master plan pays off or results in crushing defeat.

Objectives:

· Decrease neutrality as soon as possible and expand the Turkey territory both on the west and east to increase the manpower and leadership.

· Join axis forces right after completing the expansion to Balkans and Persia.

· Clear the France and UK forces from Eastern Mediterranean and Northern Africa.

· Prepare to face the Soviets on three flanks, Balkans, Tbilisi and Northern Afghanistan.

· Try to hold the lines and make surprise attacks to gain territory and split the Soviet troops to help the Germans.

· If enough military forces can be gained, push the Soviets through the Stalingrad, occupy Stalingrad and fortify.

· Wait for Germans to take Moscow and watch Comintern to fall.

· After Comintern fall, organize attack to UK mainland to take London if Germany had not achieved before

· Help out Japan to defend against USA.

· Acquire Batavia, Honolulu and Gibraltar if needed to achieve victory.

War Plan:

I will divide my war plan into four main phases; early expansion (1), clearing out the Northern Africa (2) right after joining the axis forces, defending hard and draining IC and manpower from Soviets (3) and supporting the German frontlines to help defeat the Comintern (4). The optional phase five will be to rule the world by defeating allies if Comintern falls behind the Axis forces.

Let me explain the details of the war plan:

1) The Initial Plan (1936-1938):

As Turkey is very low on IC and leadership in the beginning, it is vital to have many infantry troops with higher skills on the ground to take the Balkans and Persia rather than investing more expensive troops which also require more time to complete. Because of this fact, my initial plan is to only focus on infantry upgrades in terms of military techs until acquiring these lands, then I will decide if I ever want to invest in armor or just buy production license from Germany for armor built. Until this time, the only military tech focus will be on infantry upgrades in order to be ahead in the infantry research.

First things first, to achieve my goal I will use my spies to increase threat over Balkan countries from the Beginning of 1936. As I will be attacking ahistorically in late 1936 or early 1937, none of those countries will be mobilized at the time we will be attacking, so the assault to the Balkans should not take long if organized properly. I would like to manage the conquest of Balkans in this order below:

Bulgaria – Greece – Albania – Yugoslavia - Romania and Hungary if they have not yet been joined to axis at the time.

Then I will move those troops to eastern lands through Persia while I am spending IC for more infantry divisions. I will be investing in mountaineers, mountain and desert war suits by the time I will be invading Persia because next target will be the desert lands of East Mediterranean and North Africa.

2) Attack on Allies (1938-1940):

As soon as the invasion of Persia is completed, I will move the infantry troops to the France and Iraq borders and wait for the invitation from the Axis. Then I will blow the hammer on France-UK-Iraq with help from Italians and some help from Germans to clear out the northern Africa as soon as possible in order to not being caught unprepared for a surprise Comintern attack. If everything goes as planned, the Mediterranean will be cleared from Allies forces in late 1939 or early 1940. This will give me time to prepare for the war against the Comintern.

3) All out defence against Comintern (1940-1942):

The timeline of the declaring war to/from Comintern is differing, so I should be ready to defend as soon as possible after taking control of the Mediterranean. To organize the defense I need to optimize the front force divisions as optimal as possible to suit the ground conditions. Considering that the western flank and eastern flank defence positions are mostly covered by plains and the central flank is covered by the mountains, I will need a mass of mixed infantry+artillery and mountain divisions to stand against the unlimited manpower of Soviets.

Against Comintern forces I am planning to use (The number of the corps are estimated from the expected manpower of the given time):

a) Two-three corps of infantry+artillery divisions on the western flank while waiting to Germans to make gains. Later during war, several divisions of motorized infantry can be used to pursue and the shattered Soviet divisions and blitz through the undefended gaps.

b) Three to five corps of mountaineer mixed with lesser infantry divisions on the central flank near Tbilisi. This flank is the most important one for Turkey considering that the area is completely covered by hills and mountains which will prevent Soviet armor to penetrate properly. Amassing troops in this flank will also let me organize surprise attacks which will force Soviets to reinforce their front force here which ultimately slightly weaken their resistance against Germans.

c) Two-three corps of infantry divisions on the eastern flank in northwestern Afghanistan. There are not important cities nearby on this flank, but some surprise attacks will cause Soviets to gather up some troops from other flanks to defend at this front which will drain their resistance a bit on the other flanks.

d) With progression of the war, if I can succeed on the defense, I will buy production licenses from Germans to build armor divisions to reinforce the front lines against Soviet armor divisions on the plains and apply some blitz to disrupt their military balance.

If I can hold the flanks and if Germany makes progress through Moscow by taking Leningrad and some other VPs, we will have some chance to make Soviets surrender. The fate of the war is also going to be depending on the Japan’s assistance on the Far East.

4) Pushing the Soviet forces (1942-1943):

If everything goes on the plan, my western flank and central flank will be coming closer as Axis forces advance through which will give me a chance to encircle the Soviet forces and march through Stalingrad. By this time, I will have a mix of mountain, infantry divisions with more advanced technology than the day (thanks to only investing in infantry upgrades) and armor divisions bought from Germany. This force will let me push the Soviets back with of course the help of the Germans on their southern flank while they will also keep progressing through Moscow. This will only be possible if Germans do not go out of manpower before Soviets. But, considering that Turkey will have opened up two more flanks over Soviets ahistorically and hence Soviets will be losing considerable amount of manpower and IC over those two flanks, I have hope that Moscow will fall before Germany start lacking manpower. I also hope Japan will not ruin all of the progression by letting amass of USA forces to enter the war before Moscow is fallen.

5) Fall of Moscow (Late 1943 - 1944):

Moscow should be… must be fallen before 1944, otherwise the war will be lost. Without German main force, Soviets will stand up quickly and can push my infantry/mountain divisions easily and start gaining what they have lost. So… Moscow… MUST… FALL… before 1944…

6) Rise of the Fascism (1944-1945):

After Moscow is fallen, UK will be a piece of cake for Axis forces and London will fall not so long after. If Japan does not suck badly until this time, we can easily invade what is left to achieve victory for Axis, Honolulu, Batavia, Gibraltar… anything… The RISE OF THE FASCISM…!

I will start posting the progression starting from tomorrow if anybody is interested to follow this AAR.

Interesting. I'll be following this.

Hi again guys,

Some distraction happened and I could start the game a bit delayed after my first post. Sorry for this.

Anyway, I have started up and there are some progress. Everything is currently going as planned. Here are the details:

1 January 1936 - 1 January 1937:

As I explained in the first post, I focused on decreasing my neutralization by increasing threats using my espionage and embargoing Bulgaria and Greece (Though I do not actually know if this affect the neutralization). So, starting from 1st of January, 1936, I commenced the plans over Balkans by increasing threats to Bulgaria and ordered my army divisions to march and position on the Bulgaria and Greece boundaries.

The initial political boundaries of Turkey in 1936.

On the other hand, the initial productivity was very low for Turkey in 1936. So the research speed and regimate/division productions started up very slow. Raw materials in stockpile and general productivity for Turkey in 1936 are given in below:

Energy: 4570
Metal: 2277
Rare Metals: 1159
Oil: 2225
IC Capacity: 20
Supply: 1138
Fuel: 794
Cash: 8
Manpower: 172
Leadership: 7.0

On the army side, only 8 infantry divisions and 2 cavalry divisions attached to 1st and 2nd corps were available at that time. Those corps were attached to Istanbul HQ which is the army theatre. The divisions were ordered to line up on the Greece/Bulgaria boundaries and be ready to start invading as soon as was declared. I have queued up several inf+art divisions to support and reinforce the attack.

On the tech side, considering that the leadership value was 7, i had to pick the researches that had direct impact for my phase 1 plan which is the invasion of Balkans. So my focus of research in 1936 were consisting of;

Infantry:
Infantry Small Arms
Infantry Support Weapons
Infantry Light Artillery

Industry:
Industrial Production
Industrial Efficiency
Agriculture
Education

The mobilization order to all armies was given on 30th of November to make them ready for the declaration of war to Bulgaria.

Overview of the initial diplomacy, intelligence and production in 1936.

1 January 1937 - 17 January 1938* (will be continued in the next post):

Annexation of Bulgaria:

It has been one year since the initiation of the espionage over Bulgaria and finally the neutralization level dropped for Turkey to declare war. To achieve to fulfill the ambition of expanding over Balkans, it was now time to start the act.

Between 1936 and 1937, thanks to low IC , only 1 division of inf+art could be produced and placed on the boundary of Bulgaria.

However, infantry small arms and infantry support weapons techs were upgraded to the 1938 levels which gives considerable amount of advantage over the armies with the timely or past technology. The tech upgrades in 1937 were continued focusing on infantry-related advances and also particular light tank focus which is essential for motorized infantries.

Overview of the initial diplomacy, intelligence, technology and production in 1937.

Declaration of War:

On 1st of January 1937, Turkey declared war on Bulgaria in demand of conquer and annex the country. 1st and 2nd corps with total of 9 infantry divisions and 2 cavalry divisions were involved in the invasion. The invasion plan was to advance to Sofia in three directions.

War Plan:

*Southern Flank was ordered to advance to southeastern side of the Sofia by blitzing through Momcilgrad and Asenovgrad.

*Central Flank was ordered to advance to eastern side of Sofia by blitzing though Dimitrovgrad and Pazardzhik.

*Northern flank was ordered to cause distraction by advancing to northern side of the country by occupying Burgaz, Varna and Tolbuchin in order to force some Bulgarian divisions to leave their defending positions at Sofia.

Result:

All flanks were succeded on their missions. With no strong resistance, central and southern divisions arrived to the boundaries of Sofia. The siege of Sofia started on February, 11th, 1937 and ultimately, annexation of Bulgaria was completed in no longer than 1.5 months of time. The conquest was achieved on February, 15th, 1937.

The start of the invasion of Bulgaria on January, 1st, 1937.

The annexation of Bulgaria successfully completed after 4 days siege on Sofia between February, 11th and 15th, 1937.

Aftermath:

As Bulgaria has fallen that fast and easy, Turkey's aggressive stance and the eagerness of the expansion have taken all neighbouring countries' attention. Greece, Romania and Yugoslavia have ordered their armies to march towards the Turkey borders to defend their lands.

I will continue reporting tomorrow with hopefully more progression.

Annexation of Greece:

Not long after Bulgaria had fallen, Turkey mobilized their troops on the Greece boundary. The conquest of Greece was very vital for Turkey due to them having advanced ports such as Athina, Mytilene and Iraqleio. Turkey was planning to hit hard without letting Greece to recover. This was looking very possible on the paper considering that Greek army has not yet been mobilized and low on organization. If Turkey succeeds on the conquest of Greece, this will also take attention of the superpowers such as Germany and Italy which ultimately might affect the threat levels of the countries and might cause to form of interesting coalitions in the near future.

The easy conquest of Bulgaria increased the eagerness of the expansion of Turkey due to the increased IC and research and the hunger for more. To fulfill the ambitions, Turkey queued up production of more and more infantry and artillery brigades to form the divisions. In April, 1937, Turkey completed mobilization of its armies on the Greece boundary.

By that time;

*Turkey had and army consisting of 10 divisions of infantry and 2 divisions of cavalry totalling over 80,000 soldiers on the ground.
*Base Industry capacity has reached to 31 which lead to focusing on more parallel production.
*Leadership distribution increased to 7.5
*Cash flow was solid.

Production queue and the resources of Turkey in early 1937.

Declaration of War:

On April, 23th, 1937, Kemal Ataturk ordered the armies to attack the Greek forces which was followed by the law changes of Service by Requirement and War Economy. All army divisions in command of 1st, 2nd and 3rd corps were involved in this assault.

War Plan:

The first goal was to occupy Salonica in order to let the supply convoys to transport the supplies to the army divisions. After securing Salonica, 1st and 2nd corps were ordered to blitz to Athina while third corps will protect the occupied cities and prevent any possible encirclement by Greek army. The final castle of Greece in Mediterranean, Ireqleio, will be captured to ensure the annexation of the Greece.

The initial plan to conquer Greece April, 1937.

*1st corps were ordered to clear out the enemy army divisions between Giannitsa and Trikala and coordinate with 2nd corps after reaching Lania.
*2nd corps were ordered to blitz through Giannitsa, Meliki and Katerini, then coordinate with 1st corps at Lania to march to Athina. The optional mission is to help out 3rd corps if they cannot occupy Salonica in time.
*3rd corps were ordered to occupy Thasos, Kavala and Salonica. After Salonica is captured this corp will be splitting the divisions and protecting the already taken cities by the 1st and 2nd corps.

War declaration in April, 23rd, 1937 and the assault plan.

Result:

The assault was initiated on April, 23th, 1937, with over 80,000 soldiers on the ground. 1st and 2nd corps attacked Giannitsa together and there was nearly no resistance. Because that the combined forces of 1st and 2nd corps blew the hammer to the enemy more strongly, the initial orders have been changed and the route for 1st corps have been cancelled and herewith both corps were ordered to advance through same route as previously decided for 2nd corps. It was obviously a good decision for Turkey as none of the Greek forces could stand behind the total of 60,000 soldiers in combination of 1st and 2nd corps. The front force could advance to Katerini just in two weeks of time.

The 3rd corps, on the other hand, was dutied to occupy well-defended Salonica. The 3rd corp could occupy Thasos, Kavala, Serres and Arnaia without any strong resistance because the defence forces have been redeployed in Salonica to make a stand. 3rd corp divisions arrived to Salonica borders in 2 weeks and captured the coastal town in 5 days after crushing 2 infantry and 1 motorized infantry divisions defending that town.

Turkey's advances on May, 8th, 1937; Salonica is about to fall and front forces marching through Larisa.

May, 12th, 1937, defence of Salonica is broken by 3rd corps and the city is occupied. 1st and 2nd corps ordered to march towards Athina.

On March, 12th, 1937, the combined forces of 1st and 2nd corps were ordered to advance through Larisa, Volos, Lamia and Amfissa by using the the coastal line to reach Athina as soon as possible. The 3rd corps were ordered to defend Meliki, Katerini and Larisa and help out the front forces where necessary. This plan paid off and Turkey front forces arrived to Athina on June, 7th, 1937. Athina was left undefended and captured by Turkish forces in June, 8th, 1937. Following the fall of Athina, the transport ships of Turkey embarked the 2nd corps divisions. Disembarking of 2nd corps troops at Iraqleio was completed in June, 13th, 1937 in order to capture the last important city of Greece, Iraqleio. With no strong resistance, Turkey captured Iraqleio on June, 15th, 1937 which ultimately led the fall of Greece .

June, 7th, 1937, one day before Athina is captured, transport ships are on the way to Athina to embark 2nd corps

Aftermath:

Turkey declared war on April, 23rd, 1937 and Greece surrendered on June, 15th, 1937. The fate of Greece was no different than Bulgaria as they too surrendered in just over 1.5 months of resistance. Turkey's advances through the Europe was causing fear amongst the neighbors and also the major countries such as Italy and Germany. In mid 1937, Germany declared Turkey as an increased threat for their country.

The political boundaries of Turkey after annexation of Greece.

1 January 1937 - 17 January 1938* (continuing):

Annexation of Albania:

The conquests of Bulgaria and Greece caused panic amongst European countries. Yugoslavia, Albania, Italy and Germany declared Turkey as highest threat for their freedom. On the other side, as soon as Turkey annexed Greece on June, 15th, 1937, the army divisions were ordered to get position along Albania and Yugoslavia boundaries to continue following their ambition to rule the central and eastern Europe.

Declaration of War:

Turkey forces arrived to Albania borders on July, 2nd, 1937 and commenced attack on July, 11th, 1937. Considering that the size and organization of the Albania army was poor, Turkey only mobilized three infantry divisions into Tirane.

War declaration in July, 11th, 1937 and the assault plan.

Result:

It was not last long until Turkey captured Tirane and conquered Albania. Turkey annexed Albania 10 days after the declaration of war, July, 21st, 1937.

Aftermath:

Following the annexation of Albania, Turkey army mobilized to position along the Yugoslavia borders.

The political boundaries of Turkey after annexation of Albania.

1 January 1937 - 17 January 1938* (continuing):

Annexation of Yugoslavia:

Having conquered Albania, Turkey decided that time has come to change the shape of Europe once and for all. To achieve this goal, one of the most important obstance should have been removed... Yugoslavia.

If achieved, Turkey will be able to declare themselves as one of the major forces of time. Before Turkey's declaration of war to Albania, head of Turkey Kemal Ataturk officially declared that Turkey is aligning to Axis. Therefore as Turkey got stronger, Germany might want to get advantage of having a third strong country on the axis side by offering Turkey to join Axis before Allies.

Declaration of War:

Two weeks after the conquest of Albania, on July, 25th, 1937, Kemal Ataturk ordered the armies to attack the unorganized Yugoslavian forces which was followed by the law changes of Service by Requirement and War Economy in order to optimize the war management. All army divisions except 7th and 9th infantry divisions were involved in this assault in command of 1st, 2nd and 3rd corps. 7th and 9th infantry divisions were left in annexed Greece lands to eliminate partisan groups.

War Plan:

Turkey knew that if the three important cities of Yugoslavia invluding Beograd, Sarajevo and Split are captured, then Turkey will be able to annex the country easily. In order to achieve this conquest, a war plan based on three main flanks have been decided. Out of those:

*Southern flank were focusing on occupying the coastal cities and blitz to Split with the army divisions attached to 1st corps. The proposed route to Split was decided as Ulcinj, Cetinje, Cevo, Gacko, Metkovic, Korcula and Makarska. If required, the army divisions were ordered to help to central flank.

*Central flank were focusing on occupying Sarajevo with the army divisions attached to 2nd corps. The proposed route to Sarajevo was decided as Kumanovo, Pristina, Plav and Niksic. If required, the army divisions were ordered to help to southern or northern flank.

*Northern flank were focusing on capturing the capital city of Yugoslavia, Beograd with the army divisions attached to 3rd corps. The proposed route to Split was decided as Pirot, Nis, Krusevac, Jagodina and Pozega.

War declaration in July, 25th, 1937 and the assault plan.

Result:

The assault was initiated on July, 25th, 1937, with over 70,000 soldiers on the ground. Central and Northern flanks could overwhelm the defending forces and cause them to retreat near Beograd and Sarajevo for their stand. However, 1st corp on the southern flank faced more resistance than other flanks but they could eventually advance to Gacko in one month of time.

On August, 28th, 1937, organization and morale of the defending forces have broken on the northern flank and infantry divisions attached to 3rd crops started marching through to capture Beograd. Not long after Beograd is captured, Sarajevo has fallen too on 3rd of September and finally Split was captured on 10th of September which ultimately resulted in annexation of Yugoslavia by Turkey.

42_1.jpg

August, 28th, 1937, the siege of Beograd and the advance of Turkey troops.

The annexation of Yugoslavia also took 1.5 month after the declaration of war; however most fierce battles have been noted for Turkey until then. It is estimated that 5,000 to 7,000 soldiers have been killed during battles from Turkey side while it is thought that Yugoslavia lost 10,000 soldiers.

Aftermath:

Turkey declared war on July, 25th, 1937 and Yugoslavia surrendered on September, 10th, 1937. The fate of Yugoslavia was no different than Bulgaria and Grece as they too surrendered in just over 1.5 months of resistance.

Turkey's expansion ambition was considered as the number one increasing threat for other European countries after Yugoslavia was annexed. However, Axis forces were trying to align this threat on their favor by trying to increase influence over Turkey government.

The political boundaries of Turkey after annexation of Yugoslavia.

1 January 1937 - 17 January 1938* (continuing):

Annexation of Romania:

By the time Turkey annexed Yugoslavia in September, 1937, still, no significant polarisation was present in Europe. However, Germany and Japan had already declared their alliance and Germany was working on influencing Turkey. Besides that, Turkey had its own plans and would not want any alliance to interrupt those. It was obvious that Turkey's next target will be Romania to achieve their expansion ideas.

The annexation of Yugoslavia greatly increased the industrial and technological advancement capacity of Turkey. In addition to that, due to the increasing war practices, the army divisions gained field experiences which helped solidify the army organisation and morale.

To fulfill the expansion ambition on western boundaries, Turkey queued up production of more and more infantry brigades to form the divisions and mobilized the recently organized divisions on to Romania borders. At this time, Turkey also started investing in convoy ships to increase the trade volume to prevent any shortage of resources. In early November, 1937, Turkey completed mobilization of its armies on the Romania boundary and waited for the new regiments to deploy and organize for the assault.

By that time;

*Turkey had and army consisting of 13 divisions of infantry and 2 divisions of cavalry on the Romania borders totalling over 100,000 soldiers on the ground.
*Base Industry capacity has reached to 50 which lead to focusing on more parallel production.
*Leadership distribution increased to 8.2
*Cash and resource flow was solid except the predicted shortage of rare minerals.

Overview of the initial diplomacy, technology and production in late1937; Germany declares Turkey as highest perceived threat.

Production queue and the resources of Turkey in late 1937.

Declaration of War:

A month after the conquest of Yugoslavia, on Ocotber, 30th, 1937, Kemal Ataturk ordered the armies to attack the Romanian front forces. Turkey military heads knew that this assault might not be as easy as other victories considering that the Romanian army is more organized and also include light tank brigades which Turkey had never faced until now. All army divisions except 7th and 9th infantry divisions were involved in this assault in command of 1st, 2nd and 3rd corps. 7th and 9th infantry divisions were also splitted into brigades and spread over acquired lands to eliminate partisan groups.

War Plan:

Important cities of Romania were mostly located nearby Turkey borders. So instead of fighting as flanks, Kemal Ataturk decided on blitzing to Bucuresti and Ploiesti on the eastern side with 1st and 2nd corps and blitzing to Cluj on the western side with 3rd corps by the help of fast moving cavalry. Ataturk knew that if those three cities are captured, then Romania will fall.

War declaration in October, 30th, 1937 and the assault plan.

Result:

The resistance of Romania on the eastern side was broken after 1.5 months of assault by Turkey infantry divisions combined with artillery brigades. On the western side, the cavalry divisions fulfilled their role on blitzing to Cluj. On January, 15th, 1938 the siege of Cluj and Ploiesti has been initiated by Turkish ground forces and both cities have been captured in 5 days. Ultimately, Turkey annexed Romania on January, 20th, 1938.

January, 15th, 1938, the siege of Ploiesti and Cluj by Turkey troops.

Aftermath:

Turkey declared war on October, 30th, 1937 and Romania surrendered on January 20th, 1938. After this annexation, Turkey decided not to expand more on the western borders and declared their final western political boundaries on Europe. Turkey's expansion not only caused fear amongst the Axis and Allies parties individually, but also Soviets. Comintern also declared Turkey as one of the biggest increasing threat for the region.

Hi again,

I have completed the game and I can tell you that the plan worked out. But, unfortunately, I will not have time to continue writing this AAR as detailed as I was doing in my previous posts. So, not to leave the AAR unfinished, I will keep it very short and explain the progression of war with periodic screenshots. Again, sorry for keeping this short.

Completion of Phase 1 - Annexation of Persia:

After conquering Romania, Turkey army mobilized to Persia in order to expand their border on easternmost and ultimately become one of the superpowers. War declaration to Persia has been done on May, 3rd, 1938.

The mobilisation of the army divisions to Persia.

Turkey army divisions are marching through the captial city of Persia without any resistance.

Persia has surrendered on 2nd of August. With this conquest, Turkey's expansion plans have been completed.

Phase 2 - Joining to Axis, Clearing out the Mediterranean region from Allies including France, UK and Iraq forces:

Following the annexation of Persia, Turkey army divisions started to be locating on the Iraq and France borders on the eastern Mediterranean.

The production focus for was on to increase industrial capacity to be prepared for a long lasting war.

On ths axis side, in mid 1938, Germany signed Anschluss with Austuria and annexed Austuria into Nazi Germany. Also, in August 1939, Germany signed Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact with Soviets and invaded Poland. Following this, finally, Turkey joined Axis on September, 2nd, 1939 and declared war on Allies on September 20th, 1939.

Phase 3: Preparing for the war with Comintern and organizing defence

Turkey mobilisation had already been completed on Soviet borders at the end of 1940. Reinforcing and upgrading the front forces from that time was ongoing before the confict is begun. Simultaneously, two cavalry divisions were dutied to search and persuade in the India peninsula to find out if any resistance or threat is present on this side.

Really nice job

Hello,

After Turkey campaign is done, I started another campaign with Italy. I could not prepare an AAR due to lacking free time, but I wanted to share the end game screenshots and give a short summary of the progression.

In the very beginning, as Italy, I worked on standing against Britain and French forces on the Africa, both on land and sea. I took good care of my naval units and did not let Britan to own Mediterranean. The invasion of Poland and France gone as historically, but on the African theatre, Axis forces were victorious ahistorically. Vichy France was trying to survive on the eastern Africa by the help of Italy and Germany forces. On the Balkans, I have expanded Italy borders by invading Greece, Albania and Bulgaria. Before the war declaration between Axis and Comintern I have invested in armor and motorized infantry divisions to help out Germans.

The war with Soviets went much better than expected. Of course, I have sent a couple dozens of divisions to the Soviet front, but I do not exactly know how it went that good. The war was over in 8 months after the war declaration. So in mid-1942 comintern were defeated. After that, I have tried to weaken UK both on land and sea in various places including Southern Africa, India Peninsula and even far east. Ultimately, I could organize a successful invasion to UK mainland and created a puppet UK which joined the Axis forces in late 1943.

From this point on, only strong enemy left was the USA. At this point, I wanted to help Japan on the Pacific and Singapore region on their fight against USA. After Singapore was fallen, the Axis victory was complete in early 1944.

As the game completed that early, I wanted to accomplish a crushing vicotry against Allies. So I planned to invade and conquer USA mainland. I knew that, without nukes it would be impossible to defeat USA, so I have invested in V1-V2 rockets and nukes as the priority research. I have captured Honolulu and used this island as my main base for invading USA. I thought it would be very tough to directly invade USA mainland considering the need of healthy convoy from far lands, encirclement danger and USA's air superiority. So, I first invaded Mexico and created a front on the USA-Mexico border. I had heavy armor and mechanized/motorized divisions on the ground and nukes pending. In 1946, I have sent first nuke to Houston from Mexico lands which reduced USA's national unity to 35. I was using the espionage to reduce their national unity for years too.

I then made a landing to Seattle on the northern boundary and fired up another nuke to another VP closeby. By that time, I was able to hold the Mexico border against USA forces and working on reducing their national unity with bombardments and nukes. By this time, Axis forces were dominating the sea and air by the help of UK naval and air superiority which was making it easier to plan invasions. To finish off the USA, i have made massive landing on the western coast near New York, and fired up 3 more V2 rockets with nuclear warheads, one to Washington, which greately reduced the unity, one to New York and another one to Boston. USA have surrendered after national unity dropped to 1. I have then invaded and annexed Canada afterwards and conquered Northern America.

In mid 1947, only Paraguay and New Zealand were left in Allies side while Germany, Italy, Japan, Romania, UK, Spain, Vichy France, South Africa and many other countries were on Axis side. I have invaded New Zealand as the next target, so only Paraguay was left in opposition force. As Italy, I did not have any significant presence in South America, so in order to invade Paraguay, I needed to own some ports to supply the army. For this I have invaded Uruguay and Argentina which lead the invasion of Paraguay and ultimately erased the existence of Allies before 1948.

Really enjoyed this one!

Cheers guys
