I've been reading about people recoding the .csv files to adjust different things.
I have a Scandinavian version of the game, but I have problems doing any recoding at all. If I save a .csv file after opening it, even without changing anything, the game won't load.
Any suggestions on how to do this?

I would like to play some of the other nations not available, but at the moment it's not possible.

Hmmm, what editor are you using? .csv files tend to open with Excel, don't use that, use notepad or wordpad. Could be the problem.

Almost certainly is the problem. Editing's actually reasonably easy using wordpad-even a dunce like me can do it (I normally don't have the patience to create custom scenarios in most games!:))

Why not download the Scenario Generator?

recoding

I was using Excel, but after trying Notepad things went better.

Thank you Uglyduck for the link to the scenario generator.

I would like to play Inca or Aztec with a few adjustments, but I guess with the tools I have now I'll satisfy my wishes.

Aye... with the IGC you can make them playable easily... But both these nations are both pagan and in the exotic tech group. You'll need to make more adjustments to make them 'playable' cuz you won't be able to build anything, appoint ppl, and build cav + art
