The red selection circles under each of your men. In the tactical battles.

How do we turn these blights to a beautiful 3D world off? What a terrible thing to do to a perfectly good landscape.

This is something in the new version isn't it? Please tell me there's an easy file edit, or some hidden option somewhere.

No, there isn't an in-game way to turn this nightmare feature off at this time. However, I did complain in no uncertain terms about this feature and Neocore sent me an override file with simple instructions on how to install it (it's just a copy/paste) to fix the problem. Send me a personal message with your email address included and I will be happy to forward you Neocore's email to me, complete with the required file.

Awesome.

PM sent.

Perhaps Neocore should post that little fix, for download, somewhere. We can't be the only ones who don't like those evil red circles. :)

I've emailed you the file. Regarding making this fix available to the public, I completely agree. Not sure why Neocore hasn't made it available.

Hi guys,
we have already fixed this problem, so you can switch off the red circles. You can check it during the battle in the upper right corner in the Strategic Settings. This is the last option called “Selection circles”.

Well, it's quite strange as those circles were first added with the v1.06 patch to the game. The Gamersgate version is still v1.04, isn't it? Did the guys at GG update it to v.1.06?

If you have the Collection, well, in the Steam version of the Collection you have the option to turn the circles off. It's possible though that the GamersGate version doesn't have it, I didn't try it yet, downloading it now.

But if those circles bother any of you, the file Mithelemir has, turnes them off.

Mithelemir, Nefaro: feel free to attach the file here with the instructions on how to install. So non-Steam users can also disable the selection circles by copy-pasting that file and Steam users can change it in-game. :)

They added the Collection and gave discounts on the purchase for those who own previous versions. I was hoping that to be partly Neocore's decision as there's still no patch for the originals from Neocore, for customers other than Steam. I enjoy the game, and it's expansions, but feel as if there is no support planned for anyone besides Steam (again).

So I'm asking if Neocore plans to issue a comprehensive update, sometime in the future, for the Collection on Gamersgate, and Impulse if sold there. Or do you only update Steam versions?

Thank you. This will help those of us, without Steam, for the moment.
