Yesterday, I bought two Crusader Kings DLC's while they were on sale at ParadoxPlaza website.
DLCs in question are Way of Life Collection and Sons of Abraham.
The trick is, they were meant to be a gift, but I bought them from my Paradox account, and sent my friend the steam keys that I got.
Apparently it does not work that way since he can not redeem the keys. Is there any way that I can get him to use those keys since I already own those DLC's.. hell I own all of them, and I wanted to get him hooked on CK?

I apologize if this is posted in a wrong forum, or if there is already info about this, I tried looking at forums and site, but didn't find anything useful for my case.

As long as you have not redeemed those keys into your Steam account, they should work in his Steam account.

What problem does he get when he tried to redeem them in his Steam client or website?

First, thank you for your reply.

He gets the "can't install" or "unable to install" message, not sure what is the exact wording.

Could it possibly be that I live in Europe (Serbia) and he is in USA? That is the only possible explanation I can come up with, nothing else makes sense.

I guess those errors are if he is doing this in our My Games page.

Instead he should paste them into the +Add a Game area of the Steam client application, or directly on the Steam website
https://store.steampowered.com/account/registerkey

Then he'll at least get a better error message.
