Refitting fleets no longer gives (any) refunds?

Not sure about this one cause I didn't play for a long time. But didn't you get (partial) refunds for changing or removing components? Or was this already removed?

I removed my cloaking devices from some corvettes cause 5 energy was too much to refit my fleet but it didn't show any gasses as refund for removing them.

the refund was not necessarily 1 to 1, it worked for example if you replaced alloy heavy components with cheaper alternatives (armor to shield)
if you would replace some that barely made a cost difference, it didnt refund anything

I removed cloaking device for 5 gas each on about 8 ships. But didn't show any gas returns in upgrade tooltip.

you no longer get resources back from changing ship components. any refund you would have gotten goes towards the new components, and anything left over from that is lost.
