Reinstall from a backup

I have a patched version of Armagedon that I saved on a portable hard drive. I've just reloaded Windows XP onto the computer and whipped out everything. I have put the Armagedon folder back into my C drive, but I can only play by opening the folder directly and clicking on the HOi2 icon. Is there a way to get it to re-install itself into my program files?

You can play the game from a shortcut without reinstalling.

Right click on HOI2.EXE in the folder and select Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut)
