Loaded up a multiplayer game a friend and I are playing. Grand campaign, 1.07c, english. Both of us had converted to Protestantism in our last game, but when we loaded up the save file, we were back to Catholicism. Had to endure stability hit again to revert back. I am 100% sure we were Protestant when we saved the game.

Also noticed during a naval engagement a strange occurence. I was playing as England and entered a naval battle with Spain. I took my 54 warships and 4 transports (led by a Lord Admiral) against his meager force of 4 transports. He kicked my butt. My maintenance was 100%, and my morale was disciplined, on par with my opponents. We were equal in technology.

How does the combat system work? Not sure how that could have happened. Same type of thing happened against some Iroquois (sp?) that attacked me in North America. Just under 2000 of them attacked my force of 8,000 infantry and 4,000 cavalry. My morale was Strong, my tech at level 9.

Any thoughts?

I know, but the thing about the transports is kinda wierd, as I thought they couldn't fire back. Game tip #14 states

'Transport ships do not inflict any damage in combat, but do take a share of the warships damage.'

My only guess is that they are so maneuverable, that they(the 4 enemy transports I engaged) had my 50+ warships and 4 transports sailing in circles to the point of getting sick and losing morale? I don't get it.
All the other combat stuff I can deal with.
