I hope there will be many effects of religion in CK. I hope that:

- there won't be possible making mariages between christian and muslim dynasties
- there will be constant decrease in relations between christian (especially catholic) and muslim states
- making alliance between catholic and muslim state will be near impossible

etc.

Why should that be the case?
- Orthodox princesses (and other kinds of females) were often married to muslim men (muslim women weren't "allowed" to marry non-muslim men, though, IIRC)
- I think reality was a bit more varied than every Christian-Muslim relationship being "constantly at -200", to use a EU2 reference.
- Was it "near impossible" in reality? Wouldn't it make more sense if it was still possible, but with reasonable negative consequences (such as the Pope not being too happy about it)?

Well, for one example, the Byzantine Empire in it's later years allied with Muslim states against Christian ones from time to time. Hell, John VI Cantacuzenus even allied with Turks against other Byzantines in a civil war....

That would be totally unhistorical. In both Iberia and Palestine alliances between Christian and Moslem states (frequently to fight against a different Christian-Moslem alliance) were quite routine. Likewise alliances between various Turkish factions and various Balkan states, sometimes coerced, sometimes voluntary.

I wasn't correct enough, I meant catholic princesses.

Yes it was but near all catholic states had bad relations with muslim states. So this tendency should be in, but of course not such that every catholic state has to have relations with every muslim state at -200 or at -100. But to hold good relations should be more difficult than with catholic/orthodox state (for another catholic state)

You're right especially if someone is tiny and has big and very angry muslim neighbour. ;)

Well the fact is that there were several political marriages between christian and islamic faiths for the same reason there were marriages between islamic people and hindus...

Do you have any example of royal/dynastic mariage between muslim and catholic dynasty in the timeframe of CK?
