Mulli, it looks like you can manage to get some support. Why should England have all of America :wacko:

It is merely a case of a big nation trying to bully a small and weak one.

No doubt such honorable men as FAL and Lord Robertus will support you in case of need. ;)

You should know that when I got the explorer I first asked Cheech for MA as England is a pretty good starting point for an explorer. His response was something like: "why should I assist you getting in to North America". Well that was that. He is not the cooperative type apparently.

I then asked the honorable Aladar who gave us MA providing we would go West and not South. We agreed and thus went West! Here the Swedes come, swarming all over North America, covering it with colonies and TPs with a monthly income of 23d! :rofl:
 
Yes daniel your so clever taking colonies you cant defend. Mulli had been going to great lengths to gain support for his real enemy denmark. Now you managed to push england into serious negotiations with denmark against sweden.

Just what they needed well done.

Why in the hell would i give you MA. You offered nothing to me in return. Its like me asking port for MA.

Cheech, could you please explain what was so arrogant done ? Because you were asked for MA in return of nothing ? Or any saying ? I failed to understand why you are accusing other person.

But since i had a hard time seeing the benefit of English access to our ports, whom are all on the route to Asia, it was denied.

On the other had Sweden promised only to expand west, which was not against our interest, so he was granted MA in exchange of nothing.

As i see it i gained the friendship of Sweden for very little. While it my mean little now, who knows what it's worth in 200 years.
 
Colonising America without speaking to England is arrogant. Gloating on how great he is for doing it is arrogant. Using the rolling smiley to show hes laughing at me is irritating.

Tonio jumping into the thread to defend him is funny and predictable.

GM implying I should ‘accuse people’ of things is depressing. If I called him an asshole or such I would understand. How conservative is this forum becoming when you cant call someone arrogant without this nonsense….

Although perhaps more rethorically than inquisitively meant I will still respond to your question.

Cheech, first I would like to stress that you failed in your objective of hindering me. I still reached America. So the only thing you achieved was some amount of bad vibes from one participant towards you and a bit closer bonds between two of your potential naval competitors. Well done! :p

But now on to a more principal view on the topic. I will now teach you something not only about EU MP but about life itself. So listen carefully. ;)

Friends are something you gain by being kind and helpful. By displaying a warm, sympathetic and helpful attitude towards them you may well gain their friendship. In contrast, if you start asking for something in return what you gain may well turn out to be a mere business partner.

Then later, when the heat is on and you are in deep shit, and you indeed need assistance, perhaps without you being able to offer anything substantial in return, that is the moment when the probability a friend of yours will stand at your side is comparatively high, while that of a business partner is low. Indeed, your former business partner, if he is similar to you, will probably continue doing business, selling his services to the highest bidder. And if you are in deep shit that may will turn out to be your opponent.

So you see, friends are an asset. In life as in EU MP. :cool:

Cheech, according history of this forum, "being arrogant" is the reason for official punishment. If you call someone this way and fail to prove your point of view, that means as accusion, which is imho should be treated same way as how you called other person. Which is the official punishment too.

I hope this principle seems logical to you.
 
Life lesson? You’ve got to be joking. Your posts are the ones that are offensive, not mine. They are mocking, patronising, sarcasitic and yes also arrogant.

And no theres nothing wrong with you asking for MA. I never said there was if you read my posts. It was when you starting braging about how smart you were for taking colonies you cant defend I got annoyed. Also youll note from mullis post that he realises this because hes actually got to play the country you subed long term.

I appreciate Daniel's view on the matter and fully understand his take on the situation. However, we have very different playing styles and that is obviously not something one can accuse another for in a negative way.

The current situation will hopefully be resolved in a way that is satisfactory for all parties involved :).

ive clared out my private message box btw. Really dont know what is allowd to be said and not said anymore to be honest. There seem to be rules that are not listed and list grows every day.

disclaimer - this isnt a post questioning the mods decissions its just a point.
