I'm wondering if there's a reason why I keep getting the same missions over and over again. I'm playing England in the IGC, and I've kept Calais and married the French about a bazillion times now. I don't mind, since it helps me to rake in the mission points, but I'm not sure it's totally fair to the AI (not that that's a major concern either). I suppose it makes sense to have the missions repeated if the circumstances have not changed so as to make the given mission absurd, but I'm not sure that's what's going on. Any thoughts?

As you might have read on numerous other posts, the in-built missions really aren't very good. They're either so easy that they're essentially free VPs (i.e. royal marriages, hold a province, etc.) or they're almost impossible (i.e. No Spain in Caribbean). This is why I and many others set dynamic missions to OFF and then neglect to choose missions for ourselves, essentially taking missions out of the game.

Another approach I'm finding fun, is leaving them on, but never choosing missions. Basically it then acts like a VP handi-cap and every now and then you might actually try doing what your crazy monarch is suggesting.
