Ah, the secret "engage warp drive" key combination. :D

so, he basically his structural hull-integrity collapsed due to overloading the warp nacelles? now we know why picard and janeway don't always drive in warp 9,8...

Same thing

Using 1.03a with fresh install

It crashes either August 1 to August 20 1100 or

September 1- September 20 1100 on normal speed

Im playing as Duke of Anjou(sp?)

about that same time i declared war on Kingdom of Aragon dont dont know if thats the problem also it seems to crash the most as soon as my troops reach Aragon's province

Does it CTD is you play the same period and don't DOW Aragon?

Please send me your zipped save file and let me know. If it only CTDs when war is declared, give me a step-by-step "to do" list to reproduce the crash.

I have a reproducible CTD that fits the same description. August 1st, 1100, CTD every time. Even if I go back to an autosave.

I've e-mailed the save game to you.

I'm playing as the Duchy of Braganza. I've tried loading it as other countries too, same result, CTD at August 1st.

I've played to 1121 with only one CTD - that shortly after picking up a 1115 savegame. Not in 1100. So it's obviously not something that's tied to the date...

I have a save game- started under 1.03a- where, if you press ctrl + to speed the game up when you're already at extremely fast, the game instantly crashes to desktop. 1100 AD, Normandy. Can anyone else out there force this to happen?

i checked this out last night, but it does not crash on my computer

Got it, thanks (though not sure why you sent it 5 times...  ) and have duplicated your results while running in debug mode. I will pass the debug log to Johan when he returns to the office on Monday but apparently it is caused by someone's birth (not sure who, but that's why it's repeatable).

If you want to play your game further, it might be possible to recover it by editting the save game file and removing any existing outstanding pregnancies - a time-consuming fix, but one that would probably work.

Tried this repeatedly and cannot duplicate.

Yes I did. I'm working my way through a bunch of saves that I've received and am not doing it in any particular order so it took me a bit longer to get to yours. Sorry about that.

Yours, too, is related to a birth so the same fix may work for you. I'll forward the debug data to Johan on Monday.

Yeah...you must sell your soul to the devil in order to continue playing after a while. :D

I had the same problem with my Norway game. I remowed the line impregnationdate = "date" and the line childs_father = { person } It worked fine afterwards.

If anybody wants my savegame before the change, let me know.

Edit: Next time I shall refresh the forum before posting.

No, I removed 2 women who was impregenated 9 monts before the game crashed. The impregenate date was 11090825 and "crash date" was 11100625. The person was the father of the child

Thanks for the tip, looks like it fixed the game for me ..! And now my tip for other people doing this kind of recovery stuff:

Use an editor that supports replace with regular expressions! I used UltraEdit and aborted all the children in less than 15 seconds.
'impregnationdate *^p' and 'childs_father *^p' are your friends in UE :)

We think that we might have identified the source of the problem and are currently working on a fix...
