I had been noticing this a bit during crashes in Vicky Multiplayer... It seems the annex bug is alive and very well there, but the crashes always seemed to happen when I went to talk (aka hit tab)... At first I thought it was just a coincidence, but...

During this last crash, right after Sardinia annexed Two Sicilies, I hit tab and the crash happened. Now again it didn't hit me until the second time the annex bug happened, when Sardinia annexed them again, this time I didn't hit tab and watched as one by one people dropped out of the game (latency screens came up), presumably when they hit tab to congratulate each other on the game not crashing.... finally I tested it and hit tab, and viola, the game crashed instantly....

Just some info...

I have this annexation problem too, but even if I don't alt-tab. However, myself and my friend have discovered some kind of pattern: It crashes only when an AI-nation annexes another AI-nation, but not when I'm in the options menu :confused:

We've discovered a lot of another MP-bugs as well: Sometimes, you can't repay a loan, and sometimes you can't put in new craftsmen or clerks in your factories, no matter what you do (yes, we paused ;) ). These bugs occur when you play a long session - they fix themselves after reloading.

I have noticed those things too. But they never happen to me when I´m hosting the game... :confused:

Exactly my experience too - only the "joiners" gets those bugs :confused:
 
Update on the MP annex bug...

A long time ago (during the first few sessions of Tides of War) I thought I noticed that unallied nations (that is, they have alliances with absolutely no country in the game, whether player or AI) didn't cause a crash when annexed. I remarked about it to the group and then promptly forgot about it :eek:o . Anyway, it seems that since that time the rest of the group has noticed the same thing:

Nations with alliances seem to cause a crash upon being annexed
And
Nations without alliances seem to not cause a crash upon being annexed

Also, as stated in a previous post, the host does not seem to crash upon the annex, ever, simply those who join the host.

Overall though, the annex crash is the only one we seem to experience in Tides of War with the exception of a couple dissapearing unit bugs...
