I have been having issues with crashing since 1.7. Same kind of crash. Usually before I can even unpause the game about 1-5 minutes after getting to the map.

No mods. Verified game files. Even tried disabling fullscreen optimizations and vsync and setting to 60 fps cap. I also tried limiting e cores because apparently there was a problem with 12-14th gen intel processors but apparently that issue was fixed and disabling e cores seems not to have worked anyway.

Weirdly I was able to get through a full game as America in 1.8 with only two crashes but now it is back to being uplayable. I am at a loss and want to play the game! Please help.

Specs:

Intel 17 9700k
GeForce 2070 Super
16gb memory

I found a solution for my crash! The problem was I was running low on VRAM. I used the following steps to manually increase the amount of space allocated to VRAM and it stopped crashing.

  1. In the Taskbar Search, type “Advanced System“. You will see View Advanced System Settings.Click on it.
    • Or you can navigate to it via the Control Panel (Search “Advanced Settings” in the search box and then click View advanced system settings under the System option)
  2. In System Properties, click the Advanced tab
  3. In the Performance section click the Settings button
  4. Performance Options will open. Click Advanced tab
  5. Here, under Virtual memory, select Change
  6. Uncheck Automatically manage paging file size for all drives
  7. Highlight your Windows system drive
  8. Select Custom size
  9. Change the Initial size value and the Maximum size value to a higher value (I set it at 12000)
  10. Click Set
  11. Finally, Click Apply/OK all the way.
