I would like to see the retreat rules amended so that enemy troops cannot retreat 'forward' after breaking (ie into enemy held territory.) It seems silly as a number of player have to go on goose hunts for stray armies rampaging in their empire depsite meeting overwhelming border forces
There is also the ping-pong effect of an army constantly running hither and jon after breaking. Thsi has teh double effect of constntly stopping some armies movement out of an area and being general nuisance.
Armies of this period were VERY dependent on supply trains and hence tended to retreat along their lines of communication. Thus, this should be enforced for the AI not just the player. If no valid retreatroute is avalailabe that army should dissolve (surrender).
