TL;DR - Convert fungi farms into regular farms, add more food types, export food back to earth


I have looked at the modiding system and can't seem to make heads or tails of it.I have an idea for a complex mod - make external fully functional farms, then export food to earth. Add luxury foodstuffs like meat, intoxicant production (alcohol, marajuana, tobacco, coffee) which could be exported at considerable profit. That way a map with poor mineral resources but good water could still be a profitable enterprise.

I see the project breaking down into stages:
Stage one: Deconstructing the Mushroom farm, then remeshing for various current crops.

Stage two: Design new agriculture products, specifications of which TBD. Produce both art and code plus game text. Ensure compatibility with current farms and new external farm. Possibilities include marijuana, coffee, tobacco, potatoes, rye, hops, oranges, herbs, peaches, cherries, grapes, etc.

Stage three: Develop processing buildings for processed food items (alcohol). Could be inside a dome or outside.

Stage four:Design ranches from the Fungi farms, inserting animals in place of vegetables. Cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, would be good options.

Stage five: Code a way for foodstuffs to be shipped back to earth, both ordinary and luxury.

I know this is ambitious, but in the future Earth will have a larger population and food will be needed.
