I know this is on my want to fix list. However I'm currently trying to be available for 4 different projects at the same time and when I looked into this one it wasn't an easy thing to do and required quite a bit of a rework. When I have time to look at Stellaris code in a couple of weeks I'll try to assess what would be needed to make a proper system of triggers for ship sections and see if it's plausible in the near future.
