When I press play in xbox/game pass app nothing happens. No launcher opens, no loading screen, nothing. Other games launch fine. Have tried disabling avast with no result.

Hmm my game crashed after a while and now the issue is back, I can no longer even get he launcher to open. I hope there is a better solution than having to keep re-installing.
Same here except I've uninstalled and reinstalled about 12 times with no luck... this is getting real annoying ngl
I have resolved the issue (well at least it worked for me). I went into Avast settings and created an exception for the whole folder >Program Files>WindowsApps. Try that out and see if it helps

I uninstalled avast and deactivated windows defender and that didn't work for me unfortunately. I'm glad you got yours sorted out at least, enjoy the game dude!
