When will we get the results of the map-making contest? Since the mid of june there is no more information about it (see the Mj2 facebook site)? Any news about it or do you have simply forgotten about it? Thanks for your answer.

I think they forgot it as it is a couple of months ago they started the contest..

A BIT? the mapmaker crashes 100% of the time! That, and for some reason, i can't MOVE the camera, thus i am stuck staring at the center of the map.
And i think only one person tried and got it to work and he is called hapuaga
Nop. I did as well even before Hapuga was known here. By googling it. Use the space button when you want to move the camera.
If that happens when you just start to make a map, without mission, scrolling may appear after you save the map first time
according to my calculations there are about 5-6 people who are actually good M2 mapmakers. You just have to catch them and make them work!
and guys, registering your games always helps. From now on, me and our other team members (polite_orc) will post the maps in the "user modifications" section only.

two biggest advices that I can give to those who want to start mapmaking in M2.
1. read our lessons. They are 100% based on my and our team members' experience. This experience was gathered through months of cursing and crashing. But we are stubborn and persistent, and we tamed that beast called M2 Editor
2. Study the official missions and SP levels. Official maps are fairly easy yet they will provide you with required knowledge on how what was done by the devs.

Our map uploads are doubled on ff.info, with direct links to file hosters. The reason why post them in closed forums, is that new themes with maps will be moved there anyway.
