I think it is pretty odd that your vassals will get mad if you revoke more than one title for treason. Is there a way to mod the game or of a ck2+ developer would want to consider actually checking the treason committed and acting appropriately. That would be a more realistic way to script this game. I hate when I give my brother a kingdom and then he keeps getting mad when i revoke some nobody's title. My brother had nothing and I gave him a crown and he gets mad if I revoke some title on some treasonous nobody. Tyranny should be ignored for people I give titles too. That is how king's would create alliances and to defend themselves against a powerful duke. Paradox should have done better.

The character object in the scripting engine needs a property for like a boolean value to say he is an ally of the liege and would ignore tyranny. If this is truly feudal then don't treat a realm like a state. It is a realm and the vassals act as individuals so obviously they need the same mechanics as interaction between kings of a realm but limited where appropriate *sigh

The OP's got a point.

In actual history, a treasonous lord was often stripped of most if not all of their lands and titles as punishment for their crimes. Even when Richard the Lionheart forgave his brother John and did not execute him, he still stripped away all of his titles except for a small strip of Ireland. And other cultures generally don't look down kindly on treasonous lords to the point of even wiping out or devastating their families, even if they had nothing to do with the treason.

When I first started playing CK2 I was really surprised and miffed this wasn't a feature, I also really like the idea of character you have granted gifts/titles too not being affected by the leader's tyranny.

I still hope that the last major expansion will in some way address law and punishment, allowing the game to track separate offenses separately and giving out punishments by offense, not summarily for all offenses without regard for their severity.

Game of Thrones kinda-sorta managed to implement a better trial system, but even at their massive level of customization it's still a bit wonky. Unfortunately, I think it will take Paradox actually adding this to have a decent system.

I agree, the way it is now I usually have no idea what I'm supposed to punish some people for, as I just get the message that they have been "disloyal", yet God knows how.
Mostly you know why (they've been plotting, etc) but sometimes it truly is a mystery.

it would be nice even if they just give every character a 100 character max note pad or something to write a small note

Shouldn't this be in the suggestion thread? That being said, I do agree that this should be a thing. I usually banish treasonous lords, but I'd like to able to strip them of their titles and execute them as was probably more likely historically.
