Could someone PLEASE explain 'Revolt Risk' and how it works?
The problem I seem to be having is that the lower the revolt risk, the more often my provinces revolt! A province with a revolt risk of 3% seems to revolt on a yearly basis! (Oh, it's April alredy? Guess we should revolt!)
It seems like the Revolt Risk is the risk per month that the province WON'T revolt!

I have the same complaint about colonization, i.e. it seems that the chance given is the chance of failure. Otherwise, why would it take 4 attempts to land a colony where there is an 84% chance? Chance of success, or chance of failure?

If you hold your mouse above the revolt risk number, it shows how it evolves.
Religion, nationalism, marshall ,war-weariness or such......
So its just like it says.
With colonization it depends very much on the numbers of trade posts, tribes and
the month when you do it. If your successfull once, always repeat it then.
Was even more successful in wintertime once with a colony in siberia.Theres probably more
info on tis somewhere here or on the private faq's.Go for Huzsics FAQ.theres lots of info.
Thats it from a mere newbie :)

Generally, the revolt risk is a chance of revolt that is calculated each month. You may simply have bad luck:)

Bad seriously, the most problematic are the nationalism revolts - no matter how much you give to the people (in terms of religion, stability, etc.) they will retain their revolt risk at the level of nationalism.

The only way to get read of nationalism is to wait. I think it lowers by 1% for every 10 years or something.

Hope it was of some help.:)
