I picked up the game again after taking a break for about a year. Something's happenned I hadn't noticed before. I loaded up an 1836 game as Prussia to get my feel for things again. I took the opportunity to go into colonial war against Egypt during their war with the Ottomans. My small expedition took Egypt's capitol and surrounding provinces, and they sued for peace. I took their offerings- basically Crete, and the lands of present Lebanon.
However, I noticed after letting a month go by that no RGOs in any of those provinces were producing anything. They all are fruit RGOs and the pops for them are farmers. I removed and then added back in the pops to the RGO, but there was still no work being done. I saved the game and reloaded (wondering if perhaps there was some bug) but nothing's happenned.
It is a bit early- 1839 now that a few months have gone by- so I'm wondering, is there an advancement I need, or perhaps a policy I must enact, to get the production going? It's not that I expect vast quantities of fruit to be produced since they're non-national pops in overseas posessions; but there should be something shouldn't there? I must be missing something.

Steamer transports. You need to build some sort of transport probably.

Aaaah! Yes- turns out that's exactly what I'd overlooked. Prussia was indeed bereft of convoy capacity, and now that some clippers have been acquired out of the world market, the fresh fruit is shipping out.
Thank you!
