Rise of the North is the newest version of the Scandianavia Mod, but is such a departure from the old Scandinavia mod that it deserves its own thread. This is version .1a, which is the first working version of Rise of the North. Rise of the North currently contains one event chain that allows a human Sweden to form Scandinavia (although as yet there is no tag change - cores are added, however). Later versions will contain chains for Denmark, Norway, and Scandinavia after unification.
It should be compatible with any version of Hearts of Iron 2.

Install instructions: replace sweden.txt in the events folder with this file. Go to (your game directory)/config, and open one of the .csv files there. Add these three lines into the files:
I'm not going to upload a config file of my own because I don't have a clean copy of Armageddon or Doomsday to pull the file from.

Although many considered this to be a good thing, Martin Ekström, leader of the Swedish Fascist Party, disagreed. Declaring that he would not allow socialists to regain control of the country, Ekström declared that he would bring down the new government. As the Swedish Fascist Party enjoyed little popular support at the time, the Hansson administration paid little attention to the threat.;;;;;;;;;;X
EVT_999993_DESC;By June 12, 1937, Martin Ekström and the Swedish Fascist Party had gained a significant following among the Swedish population. On that day, a member of Martin Ekström's inner circle demanded to see the Prime Minister. He explained that he had had a falling out with Ekström, and had come with information vital to the security of Sweden. Later that day, he told parliment of a plot by the Swedish Fascist Party for a coup d'etat, using the significant support that Ekström had within the military. Unfortunately, the turncoat could not provide a date for the planned coup, or any other information about it. This presented the Hasson administration with a difficult choice: if the traitor was telling the truth, then the best course of action would be to exile Ekström, but that risked aleinating a large portion of the population and possibly even increasing Ekström's influence, whcih meant that the traitor could just be a clever ploy to further decrease the popular support of the Hasson administration, and that the best course of action would be to do nothing.;;;;;;;;;;X
EVT_999994_DESC;Following the Hasson administration's failure to do anything following the exposure of the coup plot, a coup was launched on June 20, 1937. Overwhelming support for the coup by the military made it easy to overthrow parliment, although some anti-fascist units continued fighting in the streets of Stockholm for several days. For reasons unknown to anyone except himself, King Gustav V supported the coup. It is speculated that he supported the coups to save the lives of certain members of the royal family, but no one will ever know for sure. The coup resulted in Martin Ekström being declared Prime Minister for life, and all of the seats of parliment being ceded to the Swedish Fascist Party, giving Ekström near dictatorial authority.
