A valid way to play is to use robots on those low habiatility planets before eventually terraform them. Having to manage 3 robots types, one for cold, wet and arid I think is unnecessary micro. I think it's not unreasonable to let the robots adapt to their environment (similarly to automodding) They could have an increased energy cost for a year or so then they would change the habiatility preference to the actual planet they are sent to.

This is something that you can always do (change the robot hab type) and you should always do.. so it is unnecessary micro..going into the spceies tab, create and apply template for each of your planet/type. Not to mention this tab/method is quite obscured for new players.

Before 4.0, I would think you might be too lazy
But now it is 4.0, an era where you can't choose what robot to assemble.
We really need this, or allow us to choose what robot to assemble.
