maybe we don't got followers :( we're Gods without followers! That means that we're going to vanish!!! :( stupid black & white-rules...

oh... don't mind me... I was just born crazy

I got it, fix the text in Rome's opening window, spelling errors. IC's look right except Cyrenica (0), also maybe u could fix the cores, I went through it all except Irish, Germans & Celts, Rome has like 300+ belligerence & 70+ garrisons 2 quell the revolts which occur like every 2 weeks, am anticipating the new tech tree! Also, was wondering about the dates, it starts as same in Vanilla, will this be fixed?

yeah it probably will be fixed soon but have you got any suggestions for when it should start / end seens as the no time limit patch doesnt go back far enough

from tomorrow i will be putting in about 2 hours a day on trying to get the next update ready for some time soon

thxs for the reply can you please keep posting new ideas and any suggestion

That is not crazy thinking! The cure is just be the worshipper too.

Hang in there Boo !!!!
Genius works often alone. :D

yeah i am trying just hard not knowing wot improvements to make other than the ones i was going to do but i am going to continue working on it from tomorrow hopefully haveing alot of the tech tree done by next saturday or at least 2 or 3 pages of it

thxs for the encouragement yukala always been there at bad times

thxs boo

things for 0.3
1)more flags/sheilds
2)new counters for countries with new flag
3)tech tree
4)graphics?
5)ai changes
6)ic/resource changes for the rest of the countries
7)leaders/ ministers
8)tech teams ? (maybe just for a few countries)

well assuming the tech tree will have like legionaires etc. I'd just start at like 1000AD until 1250AD? It took them like a century or 2 IRL to conquer that area, while it'd probably take 5-7 right now

having such a small map for 250 years i think is gonna be a bit extreme but i will start it at 1000ad and finish maybe 10 or 12 yrs later but i will change a lot of things like speed of units so it take more time to conquer the area

Tech tree done so far
1)i have started work on the Elite unit section which will include such units as
2)chariots
3)preatorian guard (roman)4)
4)other elite units for other nations

to research these unit you will have to research some docrines and by researching 1 you will lock the other one but certain nations will be bale to research maybe 1 or 2 of these feilds but at the start of the game each nation will have a set path to follow

this page should be finished by tomorrow with the research page changed behind it it so it fits with were the techs are also the doctrines hould be in place that control these techs

will upload some screenies tomorrow
something that wont be inlcuded in the next release foe the tech tree is
tech pictures (maybe some for some techs if we can find any)
sprites (as know one can make them )
unit picture (maybe some if we can find any

the next research page or on the same page there will be the catapults and the machines that threw big arrows

so in general this tech tree is going to be complicated and will take some time to perfect

yeah the tech is quite confusing that was the first thing i learnt so i know it quite well and thxs for giving me the name of that machine

rigth for the elite unit page so far i have
2 and 4 horse chariots
preatorian guard

also adding in balistas and Onager

but i was wondering if any one else knows of any elite units that were used by other nations apart from the above and they were not just general infantry but specialised troops

Oh...my...goodness. I was literally just thinking about whether there was a Roman-era mod for HoI2, I look up a few forums and I find THIS! Excellent :D

If you need any help or ideas, I'll be happy to lend a hand. My knowledge of the era is somewhat average, but being a fan of Rome: Total War (and the quintessential Rome: Total Realism mod), there might be something I know that could be of use. My modding knowledge for HoI2 is basically zero, though...

Your enthusiasm will be a fine blessing !

As well beta testing and what elite units did Rome Total War give to those other than the Romans?

I got an idea.
If you can change the city attack effiency on cities ( don't know if it's possible ) for brigades, you could make different siege equipment brigades, like siege towers/ladders and rams.

yes i do need loads of help both modding and researching but i can do most of the modding its just the researching part i need more help in i have basic ideas i just need those ideas improved eg i have a few leaders but i need to research more and find out about them and some skills they had
i never bought rtw so i dont know wot that was like but we have been sent them an emal about using info and graphics from them and they said no so we carnt be like them we want to be happy and giving :p

yes things that need to be researched are
leaders for every nation is possibable
tech teams so i suppose these would be blacksmiths army leaders and so on
ministers
units for the tech tree

if you could find any information on this i would be extreamly grateful

i will look into this at the moment we have some seige machines but not yet do we have seige towers or ladders or rams but that would be a good idea if they i could change the attack effiency with a brigade atachment i will try add them if i can change the efiency if not i will try make them have a positive effect when attacking a city

thxs for all the replys
boo

thanks for those links they will come in very handy that should be enough for the roman army

would you be able to get any links for other nations

greatly appreaciated

boo

1 page of the tech tree is half finished due to lack of time been able to get on a pc but know it justs some name changing editing the grpahic it goes on and add some celtic and other than roman elite units but i still may add gladiators and in a future future release may add in ladders and seige towers but only if i can get them to work correctly

after christmas i should have sligthly less time to work on this as i will be spending a lot of time revivsing for exams ,i should have 2 or 3 pages done on the tech tree before the next release will probably try finish the land units as they are used the most and then if i have any more time i will attemp to start the naval page but i migth leave that for this version as the tech tree will be complicated and probably have bugs that need to be change so thats why i will probably do a bit at a time to make sure it all correct

Chariots? Chariots were never used in warfare in the Roman empire. As far as I know except the Celts maybe no important power in the Med used it in warfare in Roman times anymore.
