I modified the roman imperial government to be availible for vassals of the roman empires that have imperial elective as their succesion law

But there still seem to be stripes in the government type map mode. Imperial stripes over imperial background, and i have no idea why, this is not an entirly different government just copy pasted, i modified the original government to be availible for vassals. How do i fix this?

Also how do i scope for chars government rather than his succesion law? i dont seem to be able to make chinese imperialism to work for vassals of the chinese emperor. i also need to prevent mayors from turning into imperial vassals somehow.

Chinese imperial vassals do not seem to have the same bug regarding government map mode

It looks like the requirement to have imperial government type is for any liege to have succ_byzantine_elective or to be either the byzantine or roman empires and have succ_byzantine_elective. That might be why the mayors are changing to imperial government type.

As for the stripes, do you have any vassal kings who aren't imperial?

How could i exclude republiks from converting into imperial?

And no, all of the count + vassals in the empire are imperial
 
There are some checks in Iqta that are meant to catch republics (Merchant or otherwise), might want to look in there.

there doesnt seem to be anything special there. maybe its tied to the prefered holdings ?
