Will there be a Roman portrait I can choose for my Species, so I can play a Roman Empire in space?

Don't be absurd. The default Terran-like faction is going to be based off of Jan Mayen winning.
I now know what to name the first custom race I play whenever Stellaris comes out. All tremble before the EMU (Empire of Mighty Ulm)!
Can we have a converter set up to somehow make it so you can import your EU4 game directly into Stellaris? The homeworld planet for each nation should also be a perfect copy of their flag.

Colony ships from Ryuku, Ulm and Byzantium escaped to rebuild on new worlds, but now they must forge new alliances with the other races of the galaxy and fight back against the expanding tide of the Empire Terre. If they fail, the universe and all within it are doomed to an eternity of subjugation by their Baguette wielding overlords.

Keeping the star aligned with the crescent is going to take some serious engineering. But they will figure it out.

Nah you wouldn't be automatically labelled as one, but given this is the future and that means there's some dystopia stuff going on then you'd definitely be put on a list of people to spy on at the very least.
If portraits are just a .jpg, you'll be able to play as a Roman. Or a Klingon. Or your cat.
