[Hampi]

In the Romanian High Command the activity is very high, people are working day and night in planning the different future war plans.
Calculating how much supplies that will be needed, which the objectivs shall be and what units that shall be involved.

After they have finished the first to plans, a third plan is being approved by the Chief of Staff and the Chief of Army.

Plan H: The Invasion of Hungary

This plan is based on possible future war with Bulgaria. If war starts our Romanian Army will then enact this plan and start an offensive into Bulgarian territory.
The main goal for the offensive is to capture all their VP provinces and either Annex or Puppet them.

The primary invasion force will consist of:
Corp 7 Armata; 3 Inf
Corp 2 Armata; 3 Inf
Corp 1 Armata; 3 Inf
Corp Alpinisti; 4 Mtn

The primary reserve will consist of:
Cavalerie Corp Romania; 3 Cav
Corp 3 Armata; 3 Inf
(Reserves have red background color)


When the months pass by my neutrality becomes low enough to enact several laws that will take me closer to war and better prepare my country.

A few new techs where also finished this months: Infantry support weapons and Light Artillery Advance

My first infantry division was also finished, this will be placed under a new corp together with the other two divisions I'm currently producing.

The Romanian High Command (RHC) has decided on a expansion plan for the army.

This plan involves building:
*10 new infantry divisions (one is already finished and another two is on their way.)
*20 support brigades to reinforce current army divisions.
*5-10 motorised divisions.

And finally I could join the axis! This was great as it would allow me to attack Bulgaria much sooner than I expected!

Soon plan B will be enacted..

This is the third time Ive written this post due to the insanely voracious interwebs that keep eating my posts. Hopefully rewriting it will lead to a more concise post.

1. Loving the country selection, tone, number of pics etc.
2. Esp enjoy the battleplans.

Some strategic options to think about assuming you hvent already.

1. You may want to be the one to declare war on Poland. Why? So as to preempt Ger doing you dirty and letting SOV give you a ....um haircut.

2. Turkey might require some skill attacking due to supply and border issues (even after you Nom Nom Bulgaria) but it provides access to the ME/Suez so its very appealing long term. It does give you a second border with SOV so it has strategic downsides also. Well unless your army grows considerably.


Well thats as concise as i get.

Yes it does Hopefully it will go swift and with few losses

And when the SCW was raging Republican spain had the highest treath in the world, so my neutrality vs treath ratio made my neutrality go down.
My neutrality got down very much not just by me lowering my neutrality. I also increased the treath level of Bulgaria, so right now Bulgaria is the most feared nation in the world

More battleplans will come later that can I promise.

Maybe we can declare war on Poland, but it feels more easy to let Germany do it when they want.

I haven't acctually made any plans in my mind to invade Turkey, but it could be a possible solution.
But with another border to the USSR it would be difficult and I haven't the capacity to increase my army very much.

Yes it acctually does But I like this kind of operation, it's swift and simple =)

In may 1938, the Romanian Army started to gather around the Bulgarian border. The RHC stated that it wasn't anything else than a big army drill.

We also bought a production license from Germany and we started building a Ju-87G Stuka squadron this will strengthen our weak airforce.

We enacted three year draft to strengthen our military forces.

In august the RHC started to mobilise the army.

We can now build industry!

The 30th of September 1938 the Romanian ambassador in Sophia left a message to the Bulgarian goverment declaring that Romania and Bulgaria now is at war with each other.

The germans also assumed the leadership in the war.

The first battle of the Romanian - Bulgaria war was easily won by our troops since the Bulgarians almost had no time to mobilise before we attacked.

After one week the Bulgarian troops started to fall back and our troops could press forward!

After a month of fighting we annex Bulgaria, this gave our IC a boost. It risen from 45 to 72. This will allow me to build out the army and industry even more.

Sure they have! But I rather see Hungary as a member of the Axis and without them taking Transylvania!

Yes the RHC will have to come up with a different Plan Y. It will probably involve much more units. Maybe I can take them by storm before I demobilise again.

Yes I think the M-R Pact will take my gains away and give it to either the USSR or Germany, will se what I will do.

The RHC started to change Plan Y right after the annexation of Bulgaria.

Alternative Plan Y: In case of Bulgaria is defeated

This plan now involved many more units and it will be much harder to get supplies to the frontline to feed all hungry soldiers.

But Yugoslavia will have much harder to defend it's long border against our invasion which will lead to our victory!

We also started to build artillery brigades to reinforce our divisions and make them stronger.
(Also not seen in these picture, we started building two runs of 3 infantry divisions each, this we do because we need to strengthen our army.)

We improved our supply production and manpower growth, this is needed to feed our growing army.

In January we declared war on Yugoslavia and Plan Y was put into action.
Germany took over the leadership of the war again..

After about two weeks the south front had made huge gains and meet no Yugoslavian resistance.

In the north gains where a little bit smaller but we was about encircling the capital.

We surrounded Beograd the Yugoslavian capital.

And all that Yugoslavia could muster in defence of it's capital is an under strength division, they where quickly defeated.

Soon after this the Yugoslavian goverment gave up the fight and we annexed them to!

Our empire has grown pretty much in the last three years, from a poor country in the eastern corner of europe, to the largest power in south eastern europe.

After our conquest of Yugoslavia many nations started to join the allies.
One of them was Hungary, this can be tolerated! They pose a large treath to our nation and we have to deal with them soon.. But not to soon..

Also after this picture was taken, Greece, Sweden, Finland, Ireland also joined the allies.

The RHC decided to reorganise the army. They formed four new armies.

1st Romanian Army: Defending border against Hungary
Corp 4 Armata; 3 Inf, 1 Arm
Corp 6 Armata; 3 Inf
Corp 7 Armata; 3 Inf

2nd Romanian Army: Defending border against Soviet Union
Corp Alpinisti; 4 Mtn

3rd Romanian Army: Defending border against Turkey/Greece
Cavalerie Corp Romania; 3 Cav
Corp 5 Armata; 3 Inf

4th Romanian Army: Defending border against Greece

Under production:
6 Infantry divisions; They will be formed into two new corps and attached where they will be needed.

6 Artillery brigades; To be placed under existing divisions to reinforce them.

So we can build up our military as much as possible before the big war starts.

Yes to be my first real HOI3 game this feels very good!

I'm just thinking about how I best shall expand my army and which armies I shall reinforce more than others..

I think that the 2nd Army shall get some reinforcements, they have just two corps with 7 divisions and their task is to guard the Soviet Border.. Feels like a hard task with so little men.

When Hungary is out of the picture I can send the 1st Army to reinforce the Romanian - Soviet border but that won't until Germany attacks Poland and starts WW2.

I'm also thinking of creating a Reserve Army that will act like a firebrigade and help where it's needed.
