I just installed "Rome: Gold" from gamersgate on my PC (running vista in a directory outside program files).
I had the JIT runtime problem so i uninstalled the game then installed the C+++ runtime. I notice that the uninstaller only deleted the .exe files for the game and left the folder there so i dumped the folder into the recycle bin and proceed to reinstall.
Now i am getting the installer errors "Rome - Not Installed" then click OK then another error "Vae Victis - Not Installed". Of course it's not installed ... i uninstalled it?!?! It installed fine the first time (just didnt run because of the other error).... Why is the installer doing this to me now? Are there some residual files (other than the obvious) that the uninstaller failed to take care of or something?
Thanks for any help.
